And my grandson asked if I would be putting the picture of my Mom, who he never knew on the tree
Not going to lie... at first i thought Ugh
I heard that episode
But we found out it was so peaceful, respectful, touch.
That's the point though...
Oh, Jeff.... what did you tell him?
As I was contemplating his question, I wondered if I could handle seeing my Mom with the other photos on the tree
So I told him no...
oh, I totally get that
But that we'd be putting the tree right there near her picture in the living room
*hugs*
It's interesting to me because he has kind of a fascination with my mother
And he knows very well how sensitive I am about it
Let that grow... it will be for his good
grieving I have learned is a years long process
we've thought about addressing it in the show this season due to Covid
But that was another reason why that ancestral episode touched me in the way that it did
just haven't settled on it yet
It's a tough thing to think about this year
