I don't think they could get enough advertisers to support it. And they probably couldn't convince their suits that they could find an audience for it, either

80's radio could thrive online. But at a traditional station, it rarely lasts. They're afraid to do anything out of the box

It's like the way they treat Mariah Carey. All IWant gets played over and over and over. But I think her version of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is really good, too, and you rarely hear that

Depends. If it's the same short list of 80's songs they already play, I'd pass
I read somewhere that Frank Sinatra hated the song "Strangers in the Night" because they played it to death on the radio
boom 97.3 has some Canadian 80's songs.
And every time in concert he had to sing it he called it "that effing song"
