Logan's series

1) Front of Logan's Trading Post where we usually get our Christmas trees and poinsettias.
It is an old converted train station and also houses the Seaboard Cafe where we get a sandwich.
It's so Christmassy!

2 & 3) Speaking of Christmas trees, here are 2 of the decorated ones inside.

4) Logan's outdoor lot. One of those is now in our living room!

5) As is one of these poinsettias.

6) Nice poinsettia display around a bench.
Makes you want to sit down and have a cup of eggnog, doesn't it?

I bet you bought that biggest one on the right, didn't you? Looks like a great place!

Last night my wife and I went to the local mall to see the Macy's Santa on tour. I'm sure I looked strange snapping the pictures away, especially since we didn't have any kids with us. It was just awesome to see. It was so magical, just couldn't pass it up. Here are a few of the pictures.

Excellent, Unchosen! Postcard perfect!

He visited at our Crabtree Valley Mall last year.
Rich, if a tad non-traditional, outfit.

Back to Crabtree:

1) Victorian carolers stroll through the mall singing traditional Christmas songs.

2) Was somewhat disappointed with Sears this year.
They have very little up. About all I could find was this one tree lost among the merchandise.
Fortunately, it's rather attractive!

3) Macys outdid Sears by a wide margin this year and comes close to Belk's decor.
(See my October 26th post)

North Hills series.

Stepping away from Crabtree, we visit another mall in Raleigh. This one, "North Hills", used to be enclosed like Crabtree but they demolished it and rebuilt as an outdoor shopping "village".

1) Nice Christmas greenery on wall lamps at the Renaissance Hotel at North Hills

2) Close-up of one of the lamps

3) The front of the hotel with railing garlands

4 and 5) Beautiful railings with Christmas garlands along an outside walkway.

6) North Hills' main tree lacks Crabtree's nice decorations but it's quite impressive at night lit up, all 40 feet of it!

7 and 8) J.C. Penney's store at North Hills sports these decorations.

9) One more outdoor lamp.
(I'm a sucker for streetlamps and railings decorated with green garlands and red bows!)

those bows are amazing! i can totally understand why one would love those!

I'm nearing the end of my stock of 2010 photos, friends!
Anyone else have some to share before Christmas?

Leftovers:
Two more photos of Belk's nice mirror display.
(Nothing quite like mirrors to multiply the effectiveness of your decorations!)

Serottas in the local strip mall where I grocery shop always has a nice seasonal display!
(The reindeer's head moves up and down.)

One more photo to go, which I will post for Christmas Eve tomorrow!

Closing with my traditional photo of Crabtree's outdoor tree lit up at night.

May you have a restful Christmas Eve and a Wonderful Christmas day tomorrow!
