Well, I was disappointed.

Went by Crabtree today for lunch and the "A Christmas To Remember" shop is still not open.
Brown paper still covers the windows and the marquis sign is not up.
By peeking around the edges, however, they look fully stocked!

Oh, well. Went next door and snapped a couple of photos of Hallmark's ornament section, fully in operation.
(You can always count on good old Hallmark. Friendly clerks, too!)

That is very disappointing, Crown. Do they know they only have two months until December?! Hopefully it will be open sometime this week. As for the Hallmark photos, like look beautiful! You really can always count on the Hallmark displays. They always bring a smile to my face. I can't wait to visit the Rideau Centre this week!

OH! I didn't see that you were in Canada.

I don't think we've got those here...well, I haven't ever seen one in TN.

I wonder if the other dollar stores (like Dollar Tree) have similar stuff. Those wreaths look awesome.

There is a shop that is 10 minutes down the road from my house that opens up once a year. When it opens, i'll take a few pictures of it and show you guys. It's great, on one side of the store, they have got a wall that is about 20m long and it is all filled with different colours of tinsel. Plus, they have a seperate room filled with Christmas lights. It's amazing.

I experienced my first taste of the 2011 Christmas Season today at the Rideau Centre. First, Kim and I visited Sears. We were a little disappointed with their lack of Christmas decor. However, they were just getting started on their Christmas section. There were about five or six employees are at work in the Christmas section of the store. Unfortunately, they were so busy and working all over the place, so we could not snap any photos. To be honest, it was still pretty bare. Only one shelf was half stocked.

I managed to snap this photo while going down the escalator. I was lucky enough to spot some Christmas bedding decor:

Now, the good part! Kim and I then went to The Bay. And, oh my! The Bay is known to have their Christmas decorations on display sometime in early October. And, they must have started early this week. It looks fantastic! The only thing missing is the music. Apparently, though, it's still not enough as their manager was making a lot of changes on the displays while we were there.

These photos were all taken at The Bay. They may be bright because the display is set up in a catwalk that connects The Bay and the Rideau Centre over Rideau Street. It is such a nice day that the sun did not help my Blackberry photographing skills! Enjoy!!
