Despite there not being much progress at Rideau Centre, I managed to snap a few photos. Some are just closer and more in-focus images of those I took before. I thought I would share anyway.

What a lovely view!!
Me too. They did a real nice job. Although it is buried in their basement this year. I prefer it being in their usual catwalk between the Rideau Centre and The Bay - over Rideau Street - but it is still quite pleasing to the eye.
Yes. Obviously, that was taken from street level, but it is great to see outdoor decorations up already.
Also: We're a few days behind last year's pace. Last year we hit post #170 on November 1st. On November 4th we were at #173. Actually, we're pretty close to last year's pace. I'm sure that we can jump back ahead with a few more quick contributions!

How about a little Christmas Verticality?
1) As regulars here know, I'm not only a sucker for black railings with Holiday greenery and red bows, I go loonie over lamp posts, too!
Here's one outside of Crabtree Mall.
2) This one is under the deck.
Beautiful, but being under a parking deck detracts somewhat.
3) Another one, outside the main east entrance.
[Ooooo!
Wait until Binger gets a load of the name on the umbrella!]

And speaking of Santa, he arrived at Crabtree Valley today!

(BTW, Crabtree has "special Holiday performances" at the mall each year such as school orchestras and singers. According to their posted schedule, the first one is set for November 13! A familiar date to regulars of this thread!)

Thank you, Crown. Hopefully my blackberry will return to taking decent photos the next time I venture into the (outdoor) Christmas Season. Great to hear Santa arrived at Crabtree today! I look forward to seeing photos of him there.
Strange that the first performance is on the 13th. I don't think it could have fallen on a better day, really!
