Really appreciate these shots since our Macys Christmas section is so paltry this year.

Our Macy's is a sad state this year! I went yesterday with high hopes, but they moved the section to a more prominent area with a sad selection. I'm hoping it's just early days and they'll add to it.. we'll see!

Awesome photos, Brent!!

That would be a wonderful concert to go to, great cause, too

This is such an exciting time!! I wish we could slow it down from this point on.

It would be! Hopefully I will have a bit of time to attend. I do like that it is in the afternoon!

I spotted the following at Michael's in Cornwall:

Also, we took a visit to Marlin's, which is an apple orchard just outside of Cornwall. They had some real nice handmade Christmas decorations last year. This year, there was much less, but I will share a few things:

Santa:

Mugs:

I liked this sign:

And this sled:

That is about it. Last year, I can recall wanting to purchase at least three or four things. I just didn't have the money. This year, I was prepared, but could not find much. Unfortunate. I guess I will just have to spend my money on Christmas decorations elsewhere!

I love the Santa portraits & sled, especially!!

Nice shots, Brent.

Main mall decorations are starting to go up at Crabtree!
I took the following set this morning.

1) Two workers rest after installing an ornament bracket.

2) Brackets in place awaiting attachment of greenery.
(Long time readers recall this thread was originally called "Christmas Buds and Blossoms". I guess this would constitute a bud!)

3) A view down from the 2nd level reveals a large bow in that box!

Continuing at Crabtree:

4) This year's crop of greenery ready for harvest.

5) Another view of the crop from above.

6) Small forrest of trees await distribution to the bare brackets shown above.

While I love seeing the finished product, there is just something special about seeing it in the process of development!

Hooray! Thank you for sharing, Crown. You picked a great day to visit Crabtree Valley! I also enjoy seeing the decoration process, too. Of course, I also look forward to seeing the finished product, too!

Is this on time with the decorations every year? In Ottawa, I don't recall the decoration process beginning until the beginning of November. I make an effort to visit at least once per week during October, but haven't come across mall decorations until after Halloween... I'm not complaining, it's just neat to see when certain areas decorate!
