Christmas Blossoms - 2014

Was out at Crabtree this afternoon comparing Belks, Sears and Macys (the three mall anchors).
Belks has their Christmas section fully up and running while Sears was just starting to assemble their Christmas area.
By contrast, Macys showed no signs of Christmas whatsoever.

Beautiful. Thanks, Crown! It's unfortunate that there really are not any anchor stores at Rideau. We lost our Sears a couple years ago. We are still waiting for Nordstrom's to open. It is scheduled for next summer. All we have now is The Bay, which is similar to Sears, and they don't quite start doing anything for Christmas until just before our Thanksgiving. Luckily, that could be as early as next week!

Maybe I will have to take a visit to another mall sometime this week! Until then, I will marvel at just how stores such as Belks seem to always do their Christmas so right.
