Late afternoon check-in....Hope everyone is enjoying a nice long week-end!! We are having a nice thick juicy Rib-eye Steak on the grill with grilled vegetables and ICE COLD Corona Beer! ('S) Think I'll go open one up right now...care to join me?

Well Cedar your steak sounds better than my baby back ribs but I'll just have to settle for my ribs, you live to far away and I think if you mailed one to me it wouldnt make it here. hee hee.
Well, the eye surgery and one shoulder surgery is a thing of the past and the therapy went well. I am busy working in my yard as much as I can but have to take it easy with arm so its slow going. The other are will just have to wait for when I don't have so much to do.
I planted a bunch of plants yesterday and got sent running to my house as it started lightening and thundering then kaboom we had hail and then a cloud burst. Boy what a day. But we always say its Oregon and if you don't like the weather wait a minute and it will change but didnt expect 2 inches of rain in 20 minutes, boy glad I have these web feet.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't forgotten you and I am back just not every day. To much gardening and all for right now.
I have started my Christmas crafts also, working on my Flower Angels that I didn't get to finish last year also my light bulb snowmen. Busy busy busy.

Today is also my daughter's 15th birthday. We have a busy, but fun, day planned. I hope everyone stays safe and doesn't eat too much BBQ.
To all our past and present military service men and women, thank you for your service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country and its citizens.
We all need to remember the brave men and women who paid the ultimate price for our country and us.

I've eaten so many burgers and dogs over the last three days that I'm gonna bust...Delish! It was a hot one here in Jersey...Over eighty and brilliant sunshine today...But man I hate the thought of going back to work tomorrow...If only these three day weekends weren't so few and far between...
Almost nine and time to think about warm milk, jammies and bed time stories...Have a great rest of the night friends!!!

Happy Memorial Day evening!!!! I hope you all had a super weekend! I can't believe how fast my 5 days off work went!! But they were fun, busy days! The wedding was beautiful, fun, & the night went too fast! From the start of decorating the hall on Thursday to the end of the wedding Friday night I took about 400 pictures! :lol: Thank the Lord for digital cameras!! I can't believe my pal is a married woman after all these years...TOO COOL! They are, as the song goes "So Happy Together..." :-D

We were supposed to have rain, rain, rain & strong storms all day today & tonight...we decided not to listen to the weathermen & we went ahead & had a surprise b-day party for my SIL out at the lake....it's a good thing we did b/c it didn't rain a drop!! It was an absolutely beautiful day at the lake! What do them weathermen know??? Lol!

There is a full explanation on the first page of this thread but in a nutshell, we all have agreed that a countdown to the Christmas season rather than just to Christmas gives us each more time to enjoy Christmas as well as giving us a boost after the season ends because we are not 365 days away from the next Christmas celebration...By the way, welcome!!!

Good Morning Friends...Woke up to a wet day outside. Looks as if we may get more rain later today. Thank goodness the temps will be warmer tomorrow and no rain. It's about time....I'm looking forward to it. I hope everyone had a nice Memorial weekend. I am off to take little one to school and head to work myself. Have a good one!
