It's been a while since anyone used the word "normal" to explain a situation I might be in!

Thanks Mr. Westover!

Happy Monday, Happy Martin Luther King Day~I nearly froze my cheeks off going to the barn this morning~all of 5 degrees with wonderful wind chill of 10 below. But might reach a balmy 10 degrees by afternoon...!

When I came inside the house, I was standing at the kitchen window watching the birds at the birdfeeder when a Tufted Titmouse flew into the window and fell into the snow. I ran outside to see what happened...it was lying there, not moving, eyes closed. I brought it inside on a towel and put it next to the wood stove....1 hour 15 min later, it opened its eyes and blinked at me! I just put it outside and it flew away. Small miracles do happen! ~Here is a pic (google) of a "Tufted Titmouse".

that happened once at work. A little bird flew into the window, & laid on the ground for a long time. After a while he snapped to & flew away. Its like their little brains short out & then kick on

Cedar is officially the Marlon Perkins of MMC.com!!!

Way to go Cedar!

Our cats watch our bird feeder by the hour!!!

Cedar, you are a kind person.
You likely saved that bird's life, owing to the low temperature.
I hereby nominate Cedar as Queen of Kind.

~Such a variety of birds at the feeder. Beautiful colors...Cardinals, Chickadees, Tufted Titmouses, Juncos, Woody Woodpeckers, Blue Jays, those adorable Nuthatches...I could stand there and watch them for hours!

Remember Heckle and Jeckle? The magpie twosome? I loved those sarcastic black 'boyds'.

Also- go to Youtube and see the video of her on the final Newhart- where he wakes up in bed and theya re back on the "old" Newhart show- God what a classic..... so so

YABBA!

~ I was thinking about that too. When my brother was younger (guess I was too), he exchanged a few letters with Bob Newhart. Never Suzanne though. When I saw the last episode and he woke up with her beside him - I thought it was great. She even scolded him for eating Chinese Food so soon before going to bed. That was a great ending.

Auntie I have a funny feeling you'll be the first one who will be ready for Christmas 2008. Do you have any special vacation plans for this summer ? We want to try to meet somewhere so we all can get to know each other.

~Sorry, Debbie - I don't have a passport, it expired about five years ago. My husband isn't in a big hurry to get one just yet.

~Auntie! So you heard the same rant, huh? Yeah, my Mom...bless her heart...subscribed to the child rearing doctrine of scaring the crapola out of her girls. Things like: "Don't do that! It will BLIND you"...or "Don't do that, it will RUIN your reputation"...or "Don't do that or it will be on your PERMANENT record"!!! Know what? I miss her daily, wish I could get free advice from her again....

~Oh yeah, I heard all of them. I remember when I was in the hospital after surgery many moons ago. I was watching Cheers and it was the episode when Kramer was trying to be a rebel because Lilith was seeing someone else at the time. Anyone remember Kramer's big rebel move was to run around the bar with a pair of scissor in his hands ("Look! I'm running with scissors!"). I had to pull the ear-piece out of my ear, I thought I was going to pop the staples, but I could still see the sight of him so I had to turn the TV away from my view. I think there's a way to test viewer's rating habits that Nielson is missing there. I guess the funniest thing is that I wasn't very rebellious and if I decided to be a little dangerous, I'd likely just run around with scissors too or walk barefoot across a gravel parking lot.

:hello: Have a super end to Monday - tomorrow is not far off.
