The polls are saying that 1 out of 3 people they call has ALREADY voted! Wow! It looks like a huge turnout! I hope they have enough paper ballots and/or voting machines for everyone!
I think I asked this before, but don't remember getting an answer. What is "YABBA"? Is it an acronym for something?

Good evening everyone...Haven't stopped in here for awhile. Hope you all are doing good. I've been busy with work and our home renovations. This evening I baked a few things for the bake sale tomorrow. My daughter attends an after school program when I work and the baked goods are to raise money for scholarships. All items will be sold at the local civic center here. This is also where people will vote. I hope they do well raising money for such a great cause. I noticed tonight while driving through town some of our local businesses are starting to decorate. I'm getting excited here. Normally our town doesn't decorate this early but since the Nations Christmas Tree will be staying a night in the town I live in the Mayor of the town has asked everyone to decorate early. I need to get on the ball...I haven't even taken down my Halloween decor yet...*L* But if I don't get around to it before the 10th of this month...I will enjoy seeing everyone else's lights and decor for now. And most importantly the magnificent 60+ ft Capitol Christmas Tree.
How is everyone? Haven´t posted here for at least 7 days I think....so I´m back!

Good morning! I wish you all could be here with me this morning to enjoy the aroma in our house...I just pulled a turkey out of the oven, I've got my Christmas music going, (hubby had to go to work early, so I can get away with it 
) & it is heavenly in here! :-D Do you know how easy it would be to stay home from work today & just enjoy?!?! Lol!! Ah well! I'm dropping the turkey off at my parents on my way to work & Dad is going to carve it for me. Hope you all have a great day!!

Big day for us too...You can bet your bottom dollar that whomever we elect will get my full respect and support, even though I chose one over the other. The office of the President deserves that and more. It is what made our country great!
So three cheers for our President elect!!!

Terrific tuesday all! For all the USA members out there, remember to get out and vote!
Agreed all.. I was in line at 4:50AM.. voted and out the door at 6:15 to see a line of hundreds.... which was awesome.. everyone out participating... regardless ofthe outcome.. Democracy at its finest.. where once every four years we come together- small towns... big cities... everyone..

So - what will you be doing on Tuesday night? Will you be standing in line to vote? Will you be watching the analysis on TV? Will you just watch another show, or read a good book? And go to sleep - and decide you will wake up tomorrow morning to learn what happened?
If you are Republican, remember that you had the Presidency and 6 years of majority in Congress to do your agenda. And huge amounts of things got done during the two terms of Bush.
If you are Democrat, remember what it felt like to be out of power for 6 years , with the country supporting the Republicans. Try to be sensitive to the ones with genuine passion, who may be out of power now.
And, most important, remember that here at MyMerryChristmas, we are a world-wide family of good people, united in their love for Christmas!
