Gracie- you were my first friend at Christmas.com- I am so thrilled to see you again. I think Jay should perform a paus du lux in your honor.....

How exactly does one "get dreadlocks?" Aren't they grown?

... Judo chop to Crown.......
Hmmmm........ Isn't it "Karate Chop"? (Oh, no, that's pork - ??).
It's Judo Throw!
(No, that's throw pillow - um - PILLOW? As in BED? As in Sleeeeeeeeep..........?)

<< WAKE UP, CROWN! Post that count! >>
Wha....? Oh, right!

Days to the Season: 263
Days to Christmas Day 305
Getting real close to the 300-Day Christmas Day mark!
Then a short hop to the 1/3 season marker.
Pretty soon we will be talking HALF WAY! Wow!
Can you believe it??

Chilly here this morning with the temp at 43. Cloudy, too, but no rain.

As promised, my photo of the lunar eclipse last Wednesday evening.
Best I could do with a 5MP, hand-held Kodak.
It's not too bad, really. If you look close, you can even see a suggestion of craters.

Have Super Sunday, Special Someones!
<< OK, Crown, enough with the alliteratives >>
Awww, Gee!

I didn't have much luck with my photos of the eclipse, you're right Cedar, you can only draw it in so far.

Still, I think they're share worthy for those who didn't get a chance to see it LIVE last Wednesday.

Cont'd - could only post two images at one time.

I saw more with my eyes than the camera picked up.

Does tea stimulate you, Crown, the way coffee keeps Binger movin' - just wonderin' how you stayed up so late. HaHa.

:hello: Hi Gracie! et al

Merry Greeting Christmas Enthusiasts!

For those of you who've been keeping up with the "tails/tales" of O'Malley the cat over the last three years, he finally let me grab some photos of him. A few I used for new banners. He's so gorgeous! He should be in "show biz", but he has a bit of catitude that leaves him somewhat difficult to work with.

Check this out, O'Malley the Cat's rockin' Slideshow, just click on the image and viola!

Yeah, don't worry - I resized the images first before loading.

I'm off to the pet store to fetch him a new toy as a reward for performing for the camera. What a hammy cat.

A good Sunday to you all!

O'Malley IS a beautiful cat! Great pics!!

Here are a couple of my pics from the eclipse. Not the greatest pics, but I'll share them anyway...Like Auntie said, you could see more with your eye. The pictures where the moon was really turning colors, I put my camera on the "night" setting. I should have put it on a tripod or something b/c you have to hold SO still, which I guess I can't do...hence the double picture

Thank you everyone for sharing your pictures, we didn't get to see it since it was cloudy & snowing here that night. The pictures are great.

Outstanding photos Crown, Auntie and Holiday!! Great work, I'm delighted!!! Wow, look at that orange that Holiday captured...very cool...how eerie...kinda out of this world isn't it? !!!

How's everyones Sunday progressing? The sun shone so bright today, it really warmed me up! I saw grass for the first time in awhile...and there is a stream flowing down the driveway.

SPRING!

monday again groan x

Good Morning, class!
This morning's lesson:
Days to the Season: 262
Days to Christmas Day 304
<< What, Susie? You say it's the same as the last one? Look more closely, you'll see it's a little different - a little different each day. >>

A coolish 40 when I left for the office this morning. A bit foggy, too.
Now, the sun has broken out and we should have a nice day.
Had a bit of rain yesterday but our drought continues.
One of our "experts" is now claiming this is the worst drought in over 100 years for this part of NC. Another says, no, it's more like 800 years. (A 700 year variance???)
They are planning to analyze tree rings to try to determine for sure.

Have a Marvelous Monday, folks!

Afternoon all!

Had a productive weekend decorating the new house, all upstairs rooms are now freshly painted inside out, just waiting on new carpets to be fitted now. Had the carpenter out on Sunday to give us a price for laying solid oak flooring in the living room and dining room, and replacing all the old 1970's doors with new ones... so he starts in 3 weeks! We now have 3 weeks of evenings and weekends (more like just weekends!) to get the downstairs all decorated ready for the lovely oak!

Funny thing happened whilst decorating the master bedroom on Saturday. I had just finished painting the window sill, when our cat decided he wanted to go outside through the bedroom window!! Cue the cat scrabbling around on the wet paint!! He was covered in bright white gloss!! All over his paws, belly and tail!! (not to mention the state of my freshly painted sill!!) Anyway, we thought we had better try and help him get the paint off to stop him from licking it off and making himself ill, so we gave him a bath!!!! To be fair to him, he was good as gold in the bath, and didnt hiss, scratch or bite once! Anyway, we got the bulk of the paint off, and he has pulled out most of the remaining hair!!

Anyway, enough about my silly cat! 10 months today until the big day! Jan and Feb is really flying by!

Got some work done on my ham radio antenna at the weekend, and made my first contact in the new 'shack' with Finland, Germany and Italy! Trying to get the timings and frequency right to be able to talk to someone on the other side of the Atlantic! Anybody on here a ham, or have one in their family??

Busy day in the office, which is almost over (hence the reeaallly long post today!) Hope you have a good Monday!

Scoobie

Ohhhh Scoob! Those pesky cats! Just what you want to do when you are exhausted from the physical work of painting, give a cat a bath!! ~Well, sounds like you are making your new house your HOME...Where will that Christmas tree go?

My Grandfather was a huge Ham radio fan, I still have his old one.

Have a great Monday everyone!

Good morning!! Monday again!!

Sounds like you are moving right along on your house Scoob! What a great feeling to git 'r done!! Funny cat story...not everything can go smoothly as planned, what fun would that be?? ;-) My parents are watching our dog while we are on vacation ~ I think they are kind of looking forward to it...he's a funny dog! They just make ya laugh, don't they...even when they make you mad, you can't help but love that face!

Sounds like we've got more snow on the way this week! Hopefully it doesn't get too bad that we can't get to the airport & hopepfully we don't have airport delays!!! YIKES!!!! :-? I want to get where it's warm & tropical!!!!!

Listened to some Christmas songs in the car(Boney M) since its the 25th... 10 months to go!!! WOOOOOOOO!!! 7 months before we start seeing Christmas decors!

:tree:Yes ten months to go. That will be so great, 8 months until I will be decorating. I can't wait until I am able to do that again.

The weather here is great for a Monday,Sunny & the temps in the 40's today, but they are calling for another storm to come in tomorrow with 6- 12 inches expected.

Its tough giving a cat a bath- the fur keeps sticking to my tongue....
