Welcome back and Happy Season to you!

Congratulations on your son coming home. That's the best Christmas present I can think of!

:hello:

Good morning ladies and gentlemen

I hope everyone is well.
I haven't been online so much, because we've been playing with the Wii in the evenings.
Tomorrow night is w/i and I wonder if the extra activity from the Wii will make a difference. cheesy
A coworker issued a challenge to me. Beginning Dec 1 he and his family read a Christmas book a night. I only have my grand daughters on the weekend, but we will read books each weekend to accept his challenge.
(I started last weekend, though, because of the fact that we have less time.)
I need to buy more Christmas books.

Good Morning Friends!

One of my off-line friends invited me to drive by her house and see the Christmas wreath she had put up to begin the season of cheer. Of course, I thought it was a wreath on her door. Wrong. She ha a cute one-story house with a pointed roof that slopes down on both sides. Somehow - she had gotten a HUGE wreath (with a big beautiful red bow) right in the middle of the highest point on the front face of her house. It was a really WOW statement of Christmas cheer!

Cherie!! I remember you! Welcome!
And Iron - welcome back! Good to see you here with us again.
You are both here just in time as we have already moved into Day 7 of our Season.
(Incredible! After today, we will already have completed a full week of our Fantastic Christmas Season. Where does the time go??)

Speaking of the count:
Days to Christmas Day: 36
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 8 (Wow! A week from tomorrow. Gee!)

Even c-c-colder this morning, and we currently s-s-stand at 29. A bit nippy for the South in mid-November.
At least we again have the sun and no wind.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, folks.
(Hey, Holiday! That peak-of-the-week view to the weekend has cleared again. We better enjoy it while we can, because next week at this time, the golden glow from Thanksgiving will be blocking it out!)

Happy Hump Day!! Here we are at the peak of the week again! Hard to believe that NEXT week at this time it will be my last day of work for the week!!! YEEEE HAW!!!!! And an even bigger YEEEE HAW!!! for putting up my Christmas tree NEXT week!!!! :D I bought more lights last night at the hardware store cuz I know there will be some non working ones...always is. They were on sale & I was going to wait when it hit me that I put up my treeNEXT week!!!! I bought the cutest little 30" Christmas tree last night too. It was just too cute to not buy!! It looks so real! I'm not sure where I'm going to put it yet, but I will find a spot!

Have a great hump day!!!

Wonderful Wednesday! Today is supposed to be our last warm day here in FTW (not holding my breath), I'm ready for the cold, and for turkey, stuffing, and more next week.

Checking in again today for the countdown to Christmas 2008! Hello Crown and Jay!! No big fires in San Diego this year. Los Angeles is having a bad time of it right now though. I'm ready for some cooler weather too. It's been hotter then heck here.

We've had high's of -2 Cel. or around 30 F all week here.
So definetely on the chilly side but it will get much worse in the coming months.
No snow on the ground yet here. Our neighbors to the west are in for some snow(west of Toronto area)....5 + Centimeters.

Dear Miller4plusmore and MerryCarey,
What were the questions and answers that won you your CD's and which ones did you win? Do I win the nosiest granny award?

GranMaureen, no problem! The 1st question was who turned down recording the song Rudolph before Gene Autry recorded it because he thought the song too juvenile. The answer was Bing Crosby.

The bonus question was what store introduced Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer as a marketing campaign. Answer: Montgomery Ward

They may do another contest. Check the Merry Christmas Radio section--that's where this one was!
