Sandy- yes Is tillw rite the operas- and Crown still stars in them and Jay still dances in them....
Hay! How about ME??

Um.... sorry folks!
That last post came from Carl. (The "hay" was a dead giveaway.)
I made the mistake of stepping away from my computer after logging in here.
The opportunistic Carl, who dropped by for a visit, seized the chance to post.
(That camel!!)

Anyway, Good Morning, all.
And a great Saturday morning it is (albeit a cold one) with our temp standing at 32, currently.
Sunny though, as usual, with no wind. Warmer weather is just around the corner, according to weather.com.

Today is Day 31 of our Christmas Season.
Days to Christmas Day: 12 (Look how close to single digits)

Have a Stupendous Saturday, Friends.
Don't waste this precious weekend - there's only ONE more left until Christmas!!

Sandy join us here- we need all the voices we can get to keep Crown awake....

YABBA

Fa la la la la ......I'm adding to your voices, hope you don't mind and
next I'd like to sing the "Hurry Christmas Don't be Late" song by Alvin
and the Chipmunks.....I still want my hoolah hoop! Carl just tapped me
on the shoulder and says he'd like to join in too.......not sure what song
he will pick? :rudolph:

Hey, guess what? It's snowing here !!!! Suppose to get 2 to 6 inches
and down to the teens tomorrow night.....not so sure about liking that.
:cold: Where's my hot chocolate?

cheesy Tell Carl, O'Malley the cat says "merrawl".

I don't think it's wise for him to sing because he tends to spit. If he's going to sing make sure there's a safe distance.

:snowball: I think we have more snow right now than we had all last winter.

It's supposed to rain this afternoon and tomorrow. Hope the roads aren't too trecherous as a result.

I have to finish my Christmas shopping today. Finish the festive slideshow I'm putting together for the older grandchildren and my parents.

Wrap gifts and decorate.

Once again, the decorating has taken a back seat.

I was at a funeral service for my God-Father yesterday. It's really different when you're Irish. Near the end of the service we had to sing When Irish Eyes Are Smiling. It wasn't easy to make the song sound happy, but we tried to pull it off for him. What a great life.

Later I spent time with his family. By the time I got home it was nearly time to get ready for the Christmas party (work).

.....Carl just tapped me

Actually, he's a bit partial to "We Three Kings", but Auntie is right. He has to be careful when he sings!

Good Morning, Friends of Christmas!

Chilly again this AM, and overcast.
No rain is predicted, though, and it should reach the mid to upper 50's by this PM, with 60's tomorrow.
We currently stand at 35.

OK, continuing to stalk the wild statistics:
Today is Day 32 of our Christmas Season.
Days to Christmas Day: 11 (Getting mighty close to single digits, guys!)

Have a Super Sunday and a Wonderous rest of the Weekend, everyone!
Keep that Christmas song on your lips and the Spirit of the Season with you.

Did you say "rock" as in "sway" as in what a hammock might do, as in ZZZZZZ.

<< WAKE UP, CROWN!! >>

Wha.....?? Um.... Oh, yeah! Thanks, Carl.

Good Morning!

Hey! Why am I the only one here? Where is everyone?
Oh! I know. They are out shopping because they know that:
Today is Day 33 of our Christmas Season. And....
Days to Christmas Day: 10 (Meaning single digits, tomorrow!)
Running out of time to get that special something for that special someone.

No sun this morning but it's supposed to get into the upper 60's by this afternoon. We are at 57 here in Raleigh at this hour.

Just fininshed watching "The Homecoming".
Great Christmas movie I try to watch every Christmas Season.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

Good Monday morning!! What a dreary ol day here...was sleeting earlier, supposed to get bad weather the next couple days. We are under a winter advisory through Thursday...ice & freezing rain...YUCK!!! I WANT SNOW!!!! Lol!!

We had candy day at Moms yesterday...it was a little zoo-y! All my nieces came this year, which was wonderful, but we had 13 girls in my Moms kitchen trying to make candy!!! Was fun!! Went to see the Dayton Philharmonic last night. That had a little to be desired. They are all very talented, but it got very long & pretty boring. My nieces & I thought it was going to be Christmas music, but it wasn't at all!! Kinda bummed about that, but we survived!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend!! I can not believe Christmas is ONLY 10 days away!!!!!

Single digits left as of 6:00 pm tonight!!

Yahoo!!

Tonight's my office party....weird on a monday night.

Schools will be off as of friday for the holidays. My daughter is looking foward to it.

Enjoy the rest of the week all.

Cheers!!

oooooh, i am in one of those moods were i just want time to stop, it has come to quickly!

where does the time go guys?

Yes, JOHNOR time is flying.

:)) I'm still not totally ready yet, but better than I was yesterday morning.

Shopping seemed to take forever yesterday. I was at the mall from 10:00-2:00 and only managed to pick up three more presents. Still have three left to shop for, but one is O'Malley and that won't be too difficult. It took me half an hour just to decide what type of gift bags, tissue and gift wrap I wanted to buy. I try to buy wrap that suits the personality and/or age of the recipient. I prefer to wrap with paper than using bags, but some items are too difficult to wrap.

There I was all stocked up with Scotch Tape so I wouldn't run out and when I went to wrap a few presents I realized I only had two kinds of wrapping paper because I used the kiddie festive ones for Christmas in July.

:tree: We're having an early Christmas with my parents on Sunday because we'll be with the grandkids on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I would have waited until after we got back, but my mom doesn't want to wait that long.

Merry Christmas, Gracie and anyone else that stops by to read without posting.

cheesy No pressure, I'm just saying "hi, hope all is well and I hope you have a very Merry Christmas".

Hello and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas holiday. Enjoy your early Christmas with your parents. cheesy

Hello again! I was home from work today, my daughter has the flu, :(. So I can't get my official down to the second countdown today. But she's feeling better, so I will post it tomorrow.

I'll do my best to post here as much as I can and get us to the 5000 mark!

With nearly 5000 posts and almost 200,000 views there isn't a more popular thread on the Merry Forums than Crown's countdown thread.

Begun years ago. Crown's daily countdowns to the season and to Christmas itself are filled with wit, wisdom, love and good cheer. Through that merry effort long time online friendships have been formed and continue to blossom.

This has been a naturally occuring thing and it has grown to such a devoted following that I am announcing that Crown -- Christmas-fan Extraordinaire and beloved fixture at MMC -- is hereby recognized as our official Countmeister.

In this official capacity Crown's tradition continues at MMC as the newest member of the Christmas Crew.

Crown will keep being Crown...and will advise us on our other countdown methods on MMC -- our new video advent calendar and, of course, our Santa updates.

Thank you, Crown -- and congratulations!

Way to go Crown!!!

There's a new sheriff in town folks!!! My friend Crown!!! So say "Howdy Pardner" to him...her...um...them! No better man...woman...um...person for the job!!!
