Will I need to change my name to Star 84?

A cool but pleasant 59 degrees here this morning in Raleigh. Actually warm for this time of the year. Rain is a possibility.
What's new in the way of our count statistics this morning? Well, I'll tell you if you haven't guessed - we are down to SINGLE DIGITS to Christmas Day!
You know what that means - everything shifts into high gear (if it isn't there already!)
Today is Day 34 of our Christmas Season.
Days to Christmas Day: 9
Time is getting short, guys!

-- 41 million people have not yet started their holiday shopping.
-- Only 8 percent have finished their shopping.
-- 45% of shoppers are planning to buy clothing/accesory items to give as gifts.
-- 43% of shoppers plan to finish their gift purchases at a discount store.
-- How will they pay?
38.8% will pay by debit card
33.8% will pay by credit card
23.3% will pay by cash
4.1% will pay by check

I received an awesome Christmas gift!
I am pretty sure that I mentioned in my posts around Thanksgiving that my oven had died, but that I would improvise with fixing our dinner. I had an electric/on-the-counter roasting pan for my turkey, I'd baked my pies at my daughter's home the day before; I used slow cookers....etc.
A local appliance store left a message on my machine yesterday that "I have a range that a couple of people have purchased for you" and wanted to set up delivery. I called them back, and they told me they could not tell me who purchased it and they were sworn to secrecy!!!
They will deliver it today. (It's snowing, but they should still be able to make it.) I'm awed....simply awed!!! I hope that I'll find out by Christmas who purchased it!!!!
My son is here from Pittsburgh. We had a wonderful family dinner on Monday. My Secret Santa gift arrived yesterday from the exchange we do on my Weight Watcher message board. (We use ELFSTER for this.)
Let me tell you, I am in such a wonderful Christmas-y mood.
I went outside to shovel at 4am (the husband left at quarter to 4...he had to head to the hospital to plow...he hates plowing the hospital simply because there are so many cars he can't get it as clean as he feels it should be) and I need to go out and shovel again. I'll do it glady, though.

Phew!!! I am having probs with my computer and the only way I can access the net is if I put the pc on safe mode. Well my hubby went and erased all the passwords and cookies etc on here and I couldnt remember my log in details for MMC!! It took me ages to sort it but here I am.

Ah! The problems with 2 people using the same computer!
Have you considered setting up separate user names? Then one user cannot delete items another user has.
(Don't ask me how it's done - I'm the only one who uses my computer.)

A coolish but calm 48 here in Raleigh at this hour.
Overcast skies, but we are told no rain today.
My father is 83. He doesn't mind sending out Christmas cards but hates to address all the envelopes! I put his address book into his computer and ran off the list on adhesive labels. Sure cuts down on the time.
