4 Days till Christmas.....We fnished up Christmas Shopping tomorrow....Tomorrow, my mother, Kandice and I will go to church at 10 am for the 4th Advent Service...my fiance won´t come...he´s happy to sleep in a bit...since he usually gets up at 4:14 am...after that a friend of mine will visit us...and later on we will go to listen to the Christmas songs played by trumpet players on two churches towers...after that we will walk to christmas market(Weihnachtsmarkt) and have our annual 4th advent Glühwein...

i did my christmas food shopping today, the supermarket was so crowded, i filled my trolley up with too much booze and too much chocolate but hey, it's christmas!

Our grocery was not too crowded, however we went into WalMart for a few things and they were packed!

Cold weather on the way here too, Holiday H. Supposed to be down in the 20's after tonight. Oh, well! At least it's seasonal!
(No white Christmas here in Raleigh, though. No snow has fallen on Christmas or Christmas Eve in the 40 years we have been here.)
Finally sunny here after 4 days of rain/clouds! We stand at 49 currently and the temp has been falling. It was 55 when I got up a few hours ago.

Good Morning!
Not many more left until Christmas Day, you know. Let's check:
Today is Day 39 of our Christmas Season.
Days to Christmas Day: 4 (Barely over half a week left to rush those preparations to completion!)

150 posts to 5,000, guys!

Have a Super Sunday and enjoy the rest of this final weekend before.....

We have flurries right now!!! My oldest sister lives in High Point and when they get snow she always takes numerous pics and emails them to me, however she seldom gets any snow. Speaking of my sissy, (I have to tell this on her!) when she was about 12 and my middle sister was 6, they were waiting on the school bus one morning and she dared Sheila to stick her tongue to a metal pole...Sheila did it....and my oldest sissy got one heck of a spanking!!! Sheila still talks about this each winter!!

Good Morning Friends! Been awhile since I have popped in to say hello. I plan to make a few more cookies today and let daughter do the decorating. A cold morning here, with the temp. being -5 as I type this. I still have a few more gifts to wrap but other than that all is done. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Sorry for my absence....Busy, busy, busy! I've been reading but not posting!

Here it is guys! Christmas week!!! I can't believe that in a few short days all will be complete...I do a better job of celelbrating between Christmas and New Years than I used to...I used to be down in the dumps from about 6:00pm Christmas night on but now I hold on until the new year before the doldrums set in! It passes though...Cause we dive right into a new countdown! And like Crown said earlier, because we count down to the season, we're already well on the way when January first comes!!!

Ran the snowblower this morning, ate some Christmas cookies for breakfast with tons of coffee...Time to run out too...well...too many places to list...Have a GREAT Sunday folks...We are really almost there!!!

Jay

Wait!!! What???? Jay? What????

We do the Countdown from the day after Christmas? We don't have to wait until January 1st??? Did I get that right???

Why - that is spectacular!! What a brilliant idea!!! I love that!!!!

Also..... Isn't the week between Christmas and New Years-- THE OPERA WEEK?

See,,, I am confused.

Are we all IN the operas? Or are we the audience?

No matter where we are (cast or audience) do we get to wear costumes?

Last night, my husband and I were invited to an impromptu supper with very simple food. Which was absolutely perfect. The host and hostess were completely relaxed. There was wine. There was also a tremendous amount of laughing and talking and absolute fun!!! It was so great!!!! WHY do we think things have to be fancy -- when all we want to do is laugh and have fun?

May I once again recommend the movie "This Christmas"? It is funny funny sweet and wonderful! It is smart and adult (not X-rated - just good for adults.) It was SO MUCH BETTER than "Four Christmases" - in my opinion. (Although I love Reese and love any Christmas movie.) I have noticed that my husband and I have talked about "This Christmas" several times since we saw it together. I think that may be a sign of a good movie - that you talk about it with pleasure and enjoyment.

One Macy's store, in a very large mall near us, is staying open 24 hours a day until 6:00 Christmas Eve. That is a first for us - staying open that many days 24/7 for Christmas.

Hey --- are you eating anything Christmassy today?

(Does aspirin, after all the wine last night, count as Christmassy?)
