Good evening everyone, hope everyone is having a great Saturday. I got alot done in the yard today D/H cut down some trees we wanted to get rid of.
The temp got up to 89 here today so it was really summer here today.Hung all the clothes on the line today no dryer today.

Here's your steak Auntie, needs to cook a little while longer, Corn is doing good & a baked potatoe, ( do u want butter or sour cream or both).

Annette here's your burger. I found the bleeding hearts bulbs at Walmart today so if you want to look at yours for them I thought I'd let you know.

Hope everyone is having a great one. Had a nice sunny day today with a little wind chill so it balanced out. The flowers seem to be in full bloom.
The basketball playoffs started today and with baseball season in full swing its a fun time of year

Beautiful here yesterday- 80s and sunny- it all went away last night though- rain- cooler today- cloudy- dark-depressing.. sorta like the state of North Carolina...

I'll be gone till late Tuesday- in DC where I will argue a Supreme Court Case: very interesting: Crown vs USA, where they are arguing that Daylight Savings Time is against their personal Constitutional Right to an extra hour of sleep since it reduces nighttime by an hour. Very Very interesting!

Hmmm...... The Mystery Twins gone together - er - at the same time, that is. Don't make too much of that guys. It's just a combined summit on coffee and mattresses being held at the Shispering Pines.
(We hear they are trying out a new Fired Twinkie recipie, too)

Indeed, Dom, we are down to one week to the 200-Day window and less than a week to the 1/3 Christmas Day marker.
Time just keeps going and going and...... Kind of like a certain bunny.

It's a nice, sunny 66 this morning here in Raleigh. I can hear the birds singing, even through my closed windows.

Dom has graciously offered to step aside this time and let someone else do the count for Tuesday through Saturday mornings. Any takers? If not, we shall again be graced by our friend Dom's wit and dedication. Thanks, Dom!

:Good Morning everyone. Overcast here today. We got about 1 inch of snow overnight. It's about 23 out right now. Brrr....Got the wood stove going thou so that helps. Wanted to take daughter and niece and nephew to the park today but it looks as if that idea will now be postponed. I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday. I plan to stay inside and keep warm and maybe start a new book.

What a beautiful day again here, sunny & warm in the 80's again. Broke the record for the temp yesterday was 87 here & the record was 85 in 1889.
Sorry to hear you got snow again Annette.
Planted my strawberry plants today, so at least that's a start getting the garden going.

Glad you enjoyed the steak Auntie & the potatoe.

Grilling again tonight it will be chicken & sweet potatoes, with a tossed salad.

Three birds and a squirrel have been fighting over the tree outside the kitchen window. The squirrel was there all winter. Yesterday a bird was sort of walking up the tree when the squirrel stuck his head out and made that high pitched crow sounding chattery-shriek, the bird flew away.

This morning my robin was perched on a broken limb (from the Microburst two years ago) and I'm cheering for him, but I'm sure he would be safer in the pine trees across the creek.

 

[Holiday]

Good evening! It's hard to believe it's Sunday evening again already! Was a much nicer weekend than expected. The sun peaked it's head out a few times yesterday, but it was mostly cloudy...was supposed to rain all day, but we only got a couple sprinkles. Today was cooler (not even 60) & cloudy ~ it rained this morning, but by this afternoon we were hanging out around a bonfire. Was a good weekend!

Hey there Twinkle!! Long time no "see"! Don't be a stranger...stop by & visit more often! :smile:

Annette...it's hard to even imagine snow again! UGH!! We better be done with that until November!!

We went to the lake this weekend. I just got home about an hour ago & I can't believe how the weeds popped up overnight! YIKES!!! Spring has sprung!!! Time to get busy pulling weeds!

After reading about all this grilling out, I am now hungry! I am going to fire up the grill & make a pizza on it! (I love to make pizza on the grill...) The only grilling we did over the weekend is we tried my BIL's new Jalapeno Cheese Franks & boy were they yummy!! I am going to have to get some more of those!

Wow...I get 2 post in a row!?!? GOOD MORNING!! "Happy" Monday! Man is it foggy here this morning. I'm sure the kids have a school delay today! (lucky ducks!) It's supposed to be low 70's & sunny for the next 2 days! Bring it on!!

Made it through the first day back to work after being off for a week. It was an okay day, didn't accomplish as much as I had hoped for, but there's always tomorrow.
