A new week. A special week. The week when we arrive at CHRISTMAS SEASON 2009!
Days to the Season: 4
Days to Christmas Day: 46.
Wow, Folks! Barely over HALF a week, now.
Close. So close.

It is a chilly 46 degrees here at this hour in Raleigh.
Sunny and calm for our last day of good weather for a while.
Rain is supposed to move in tonight then be with us for 3 straight days.

I'm sure the great Binger will be with us shortly with their special post to follow Minta's excellent kick-off of the pre-season post series.
Then moi, Christmasstar and Seawaters, after which, THE SEASON WILL BE HERE WITH US!

Good morning, everyone!!

The week is finally upon us! We've been counting down for months and I can honestly say I have been most excited about this week! The special posts and finale on Thursday night shall make it very interesting, also the TSO concert Kim and I will be attending on Wednesday should add to that, too!

4 days is so close. 46 is too! Much like yesterday, the weather does not seem so close as we are supposed to reach a high of 17C (63F), which is quite amazing for this time of year. Good luck to everyone with the special posts! I look forward to reading them all and I am sure that you will all do a fine job.

Made, I'm just sick about the race....SICK!! I really thought about crying as I watched it....I just want him to do so good so bad!

I agree. I don't understand why they didn't pit if they were going to be that short. 1 or 2 laps and I would have said go for it but 7 is a little to many. On the bright side at least he ran in the top ten all day until he ran out of gas. :-?

Who- Dale Earnhardt Jr.

What- Has had a terrible year in nascar and was running in the top five yesterday with 7 laps to go in the race and his team let him run out of gas. He ended up 25th.

Where- Texas motor speedway

Wow only 4 days to the season. I can't wait. I wrapped my first ten gifts last night and now I really want to put up the tree. Today will be spent getting some paperwork in order. I think that I am going to go work some tommorrow so I need to figure out where I want to go. I will probally stay around town since it is calling for a chance of rain. I also need to do some cleaning around the house. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning!! I was really excited to see on our morning walk today, the 1st house in town with Christmas decorations up! :dance: So exciting!!! I have never seen anyone in our town w/ decs up so early! Love it!! Looking forward to the post from Binger this morning!! :smile: Have a great day everyone!

While putting something in my neighbor's refrigerator, I noticed he had three half gallons of eggnog in there. I said, mmm, love eggnog. The next day I found a half gallon in a plastic bag hanging from door handle of my home. cheesy

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had a busy weekend, working and then shopping with the family. But my wife threw me a bone, and let me hang out on the Christmas aisles at Hobby Lobby, so that helped!

I took my son deer hunting yesterday afternoon and he killed another one! 7 point buck! That little guy has a scary-good aim. You should see him shoot while bird hunting, too! He certainly didn't get that aim from me...LOL.cheesy

I'm working on my Christmas card exchange this afternoon. I need to get moving on that.

Minta - I enjoyed your post for yesterday! Looking forward to Binger's contribution today!

Good morning....Well we took down all the halloween decorations yesterday. Still have a few fall decorations still up and will keep them up for a couple more weeks. Got the wrapping paper and Christmas cards down from the attic last night so hopefully this week I can get started on them. I have to start wrapping soon.....got so many gifts stashed that we are running out of hiding places. If I can at least get the gifts for all the neices wrapped that will free up another tote for me to use....

Hey everyone! Over the weekend I noticed 2 people in the neighborhood next to ours were decorating! This is getting so exciting. Im going to start on mine next weekend..maybe this weekend if I can talk my Hubby into it cheesy

I bought another 2 Christmas presents on my lunch break today. I dont have too much more shopping to do! It surely doesnt feel like almost Thanksgiving here..its in the 70's...I like a nice warm day but not this late in the season! Have a great afternoon everyone.
