WooHoo it's December. I can't belive we are all ready here. It is beautiful out here today so it doesn't really feel like december but that is going to change tommorrow night and thursday when we are supposed to get our first snow of the season. The highs for the rest of the week and weekend are gong to be in the 30's. I spent this morning looking at my sisters father in laws car. He said it sounded like a leaf had got into his fan and when he turned on the heat he could hear it hitting the fan. Well it turned out to be a life saver wrapper and not a leaf. I told him to be careful when he lets my niece play in the car because she likes to stick stuff everywhere including down the vents. Then it was out to do some more christmas shopping. My mom finally gave me some ideas last night so I rushed out and bought them this morning before my sisters could take them. So now I only need a couple more small things for mom and a few stocking gifts. This afternoon I told my great uncle I would come over and help him put up his outside decorations. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I am JUST back from this year's Winter Wonderland here in London's Hyde Park and OH MY GOD. It has literally grown five-fold at least since last year.

I highly recommend all Londoners and visitors to go there. Sure, there's a bit of crass commercialism which is expected but still a great place to be surrounded by a Christmasy feeling and have some German bratwursts and gluhwein in the cold :)

Hard to believe Dec is here!!
Now we are talking days away, not weeks!!

Missed the end of Nov with a bout with the flu.

Watched an awesome Grey Cup this past Sunday.

Christmas specials are on TV all the time now.....shopping is almost done.....We are definetely in the final stretch now.

Just over 3 weeks to go........Unbelievable.

We started our Christmas theme at work today (I teach Pre-K.). It was so exciting! This is going to be such a fun month!
 
Evening All! Hope everyone had a good day. We got a little snow this morning but it has since tappered off. It's pretty chilly this evening, about 6 degrees outside. Daughter and I started tracking Santa this evening....we plan to check in daily and see his where about. It's fun and you can also play games. Have nice evening.cheesy

hey guys! busy day....on a little overnight business trip and just got into the hotel to get to sleep...sorry didn't get to come by and stay longer, but just been busy! Anyways....hopefully I will get on here a little quicker tomorrow and have time to catch up on some reaading online....meeting over at 5 and then two hour trip home...so maybe by 7....see yall tomorrow night!

I feel so ill! Up all night being sick, great, just great! Ah well, I now have a day off school so it gives me some time to get a bit more organized. I am starting to feel a bit better than I was, so I am hoping that I can get a few gifts wrapped today, clean up and just other organizing

morning all....hope you all are ready to get over the hump for the week! Another week down almost! Christmas is so close now it's crazy and it just seems like it's flying by! CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY # 20
(Wow! Almost 3 weeks into the Season, already. Gracious!)

Good Morning!

Days to Christmas Day: 23 (So close to 3 weeks!)

Christmas Day is hurtling towards us!
I hope all of your plans are in place and your gift buying (or making) is well under way.
I've done some shopping but still have several more gifts to obtain.
(Fortunately, my family is pretty good about giving me ideas.)

Chilly and wet here this morning where we stand at 44.
Severe weather is possible by this afternoon.

We traditionally get our Christmas tree the first Saturday in December but that day is predicted to be very cold and possibly rainy or even icy.
My father is 84 and quite thin. The cold affects him badly, so I think we will get the tree tomorrow or Friday when it's still expected to be tolerably warm.
(That much more time to enjoy it!!)

OK! Carl says he's all ready and waiting for us with eggnog and Mauradio Sugar Cookies on the rooftop deck at the Shispering Pines.
Come join Holiday and me as we once again take in the lovely view to the weekend from the peak of the week.

Good Wenesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I got the pecan leaves mulched in yesterday afternoon, so I can setup my nativity scene this afternoon. It's just a regular lighted nativity that you can pickup at Wal-Mart, but when I put it in the dark part of our yard among the pecan trees, with some old pallets for a backdrop, it looks pretty cool.
