middle of the week already!

It has been snowing, now ice rain, and very very windy. No school bus cancellations at this time in my area, but that could change before I have to leave in just over an hour. On top of that all the palm of my hand is so itchy it is driving me nuts, have to find some lotion and then find the sidewalk salt (for my front steps, not my hand) and go out to thaw the bus!
Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

It just started here around 30 min ago....

Made it to work before it started.....leaving work will be another story all together.

Forecast says between 25-35cm is expected!!

My daughter is attending Fanshawe, I live in Stratford! She just finished typing me about the storm.:snowball:

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY # 27

Good Morning, my nearing-the-end-of-the-journey Christmas Friends.

Days to Christmas Day: 16
(Wow! Really closing in on the 2-week mark. About got those Christmas plans finalized?)

I have now either obtained or ordered all of my Christmas gifts for this season and will get all my cards out this weekend.

Still need to help my father get a couple of items.
I got all his card envelopes addressed for him and the cards are ready for his signature.

Not as cold here this morning but we have been experiencing off and on again rain which is supposed to carry through the day.
Currently, it is 44 degrees here in Raleigh at this hour, but the predicted high is 68. (I'll believe that when I see it!)

OK!
It's Wednesday - the peak-of-the-week - and the view to the weekend is just great, as usual.
Come join Holiday, Carl and me at the 'Pines for some delicious holiday-blend eggnog courtesy of our friendly activities director.
(Carl says the Mauradio Sugar Cookies turned out especially well this morning!)

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, Everybody!

Goodness! I hope she's feeling better today!

I have been busy decorating the past few days and am just about done now. Will be taking pictures tomorrow and post them here. Now I can finally sit back and relax and enjoy the season. Still a few gifts to buy but not too many and also still a bunch of cards to write. I am late with everything this year but doing my best to catch up !!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's really raining hard here today. Ugh. But, I finally got the last of my outside lights up yesterday. They look pretty good, if I do say so myself.

I hope you all have a great (and dry) day today! cheesy

Snow Day today! We will certainly have a White Christmas, and then some.

Hopefully I can get some wrapping and other assorted Christmas 'chores' (though none are really "chores") out of the way. However, sitting at the computer with a hot coffee and large apple fritter is not a good start. cheesy

Have a great day.

Morning ALL...
Another chilly day here...about -4 out but with this wind much colder. Plan to stay indoors and relax a bit. Still haven't gotten my Christmas baking done yet. May start this weekend..we'll see.

It's very windy here today. The temperatures are supposed to drop throughout the day.

Really windy here today. Sustained winds of 20 to 30mph and gusts of 50mph. Power outages everywhere but so far my apartments still have it. I am going to try to do some baking today and maybe make some hard candy. It all depends on if we keep power or not. That is the one thing I hate about having a all electric apartment. If I lose power I can't do anything. I hope everyone has a GREAT and SAFE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Made...windy here too....was also going to do some cooking for the wife and I this evening! Cold, cold, cold....can't wait to catch up on reading the website!

Hope this finds all of you doing well....we are to humpday!

Good afternoon, everyone!!

I have finally returned! I must apologize for my unannounced hiatus, but it has been a few busy days for me. I returned home safely on Saturday and then had an enjoyable day of visiting family and a few friends. Sunday, I went to Green Bay with my brother and dad. It was amazing to re-acquaint myself with the city. It's been two years since I have been there and the surreal feeling is still there. We did some Christmas shopping on Sunday and a bit of Monday and then attended the Packers victory over the Ravens on Monday Night Football.

We returned home yesterday afternoon and I have since been busy organizing a few things. I'm glad that I am now settled and will enjoy the rest of the countdown with all of you!! I hope you've enjoyed your times and all the Christmas decorations that are being set up everywhere!!! There was Christmas music everywhere in Green Bay and Appleton and now I cannot wait to experience the Christmas Season in Sault Ste. Marie.

Have a fantastic day, everyone!! I will leave you with a picture from where my dad and I sat at Lambeau. My brother was in the opposite end zone but only five rows up from the field.

Good Afternoon all,

Fighting a cold here, lost my voice completely yesterday and it seems to be slowing coming back today. Have been busy working on my Christmas cards. Hope to have them out in the mail by this weekend. Need to pick up a few more gifts but I am stumped as to what to get my mother in law. I have a couple ideas. Will have to check into them. oh well... have a nice day.

Much colder here today, but at least it's clear. Going to be doing a concert at a church tonight, and one tomorrow night at a nursing home. After that, only three more concerts till Christmas!

I failed to mention that it is very windy here as well. We were hit with the storm last night and it really hasn't stopped. About 15 inches total will have fallen by this evening. A bit more overnight, too. It's going to make the lights look beautiful!
