'Morning, Folks.

A quick check in to let you know I'm still around and still enjoying Christmas Season 2009.
Not long to New Years Day now and a new countdown!
(Of course, sadly that means we say so long to this fantastic thread)

Cold here and soon to get colder.
The weather service says we could be down in the teens in a few nights. BRRRRR!

Have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

Well I got to my first account this morning and my handheld computer crashed. I can't get it to work now and no one is answering the phone at the main office so I am going to call it a day as far as working goes. Now I am going to go sit by the tree with some hot chocolate and a book and turn the christmas music on. Sounds like a good way to spend the rest of the morning to me.

Your Hippo image reminds me to let everyone know that among her many gifts, my mother got a "Hippopotamus for Christmas" just like the song. She danced her hippo around the living room.

Cleaning day here! Gotta clean up from Christmas celebrations and get ready for new year celebrations!
cheesy

I've been avoiding my household chorse since I woke up.

That's gonna be my motto for 2010. HaHa. :hello:

Did someone else say coffee?

YABBA~

Tomorrow I'm trying low fat Hazelnut Delight in my coffee. It'll probably be too sweet, but I'm willing to give it a try. I don't take sugar in my coffee, just a bit of cream.

Made...you asked my opinion....so here it goes....

I think it stinks for more than one reason.....first, we are talking about the pursuit of history. To do something that no one has ever done before (the Dolphins didn't play this many games when they did it) is very worthwhile in my eyes. 2nd...making sure they get their rest....what's the bye week for then? 3rd....to keep them healthy...are you not going to continue practicing? Can they not sprain their ankles walking up the stairs at their house? While they are reducing the chance of injury, they certainly aren't eliminating it! 4th....football, especially at that level, is about timing and staying sharp...and there is no way to simulate that in practice. If I was them, I would have played all starters last night, and then see what happens next week. If they are down big or up big, I might pull the starters....if it is close...I would leave them in....close games, even at that level and this late in the year, build team charecter and keep that intensity level up. What do you do next week now? You better not play the starters or you are going to get blasted!

From a coaching standpoint, I would make the call to leave them in. Certainly, I would take my player's opinions into account.....but I would make the call and I think my call would be to go for it! This chance for him and those players will never come likely never come again! But I will say this for the man, he made a tough decision and stuck with it...regardless of what everyone else thought or how loud they booed! I don't know if he was right or not, but that is admirable in my eyes....

Hazelnut coffee creamer is great - doesn't taste sweet at all in the CoffeeMate and International Delight brands!! I, too, do not like sugar in my coffee - real cream - bliss!!! cheesy

Went out at lunch today and picked up a couple stocking stuffers for hubby for next Christmas. Just created a spreadsheet to keep track of the gifts I bought already. I am hoping to be updating it several times a month all year long!

Good afternoon! Today is a day everything is coming together and I can actually post - most times, I can't.

Hope everyone had a most excellent Christmas!!

I have been working this past morning and watching it snow out - over an inch has fallen since last night. Love it as it rained on Christmas day - still had some snow on the ground, though. There were patches of green grass showing, especially under the trees. Guess I had a half of a green Christmas - cool!!

Have a great day!!

A lot of people went back to work today (my hubby did), so I guess that things are beginning to go back to "normal". Luckily, I don't have to go back to work until next Monday. That is when I will probably start getting the after-Christmas blues. Hopefully, not too bad though. This place always helps a lot.

MMM is right now showing favorite Christmas videos from years past...just listened to original "do they know it's Christmas"

snow, snow :snowball:snow, snow!

we have a snowfall watch here and it has been coming down thick and fast. Supposed to get up to 10cm tonight!

Hello Everybody!!

We got 6 inches plus of snow this past weekend. Tonight it gonna get COLD! I wish it would have snowed on Christmas instead of the day after...oh well. I had to go back to work today...no fun. I have to work NYE but I hope they say that I don't have to...we'll see.
