Good morning, my friends!

Wow, what a busy weekend I had. I work a daily job, but after work and on weekends, my brother and I run a small business that really keeps us busy. I guess that's why they call it a BUSIness, huh?

Saturday I worked from daylight till around 2:30 pm, then I had to leave to play for a wedding. I play guitar in a band, and we mostly do weddngs these day. Anyway, I was out till 1:30 am.

Then we got up at 7:00 am and took the kids to the Jacksonville, FL Zoo. It was great!, but hot and a lot of walking. Jacksonville is about 2.5 hours from here, so after a long day of sweating and walking, another 2.5 hour trip home.

We got home at 7:30 pm and had to rush to get ready for my niece's 8:00 pm high school graduation. I finally got home at 10:30 pm, got ready for bed....and couldn't sleep!

So, I'm beat right now. Coffee's heating up, though.cheesy

This month will see the passing of two milestones: The 200-Day mark to Christmas Day (exactly one week from today) and that all-important ONE HALF milestone to Christmas, June 26!

Another nice, calm, sunny one here here in Raleigh, where we currently stand at a very walkable 68 degrees.
It was 88 yesterday, with the humidity a bit higher.
Still no rain forecast until Thursday, and then only showers.
(But, hey! It's the first day of hurricane season. No telling what might happen, eh?)

Good morning Christmas friends!! :smile: We just had a nasty storm come through - got really dark & the clouds were wild looking. Got some thunder/lightening/hail/wind but all is ok again, for now!! Supposed to be more coming later! We could use the rain, but don't need all the crazy weather with it!!! Ah well...

Welcome back ochristmastree!! Sounds like you have been having some good days, getting back into the spirit! :-D

My hubby & I bought new bicycles last week & we put on over 50 miles between Saturday & Sunday! I never thought I would enjoy riding bike so much!!! I LOVE IT!!! There is a new bike path at the lake & it is just awesome!! There are more & more people at our landing getting bikes this summer & they have decided to start a "bike club" - t-shirts were ordered yesterday! Lol! We planned to meet at 8 am yesterday morning & ride - hopefully we continue to do that! I really enjoyed it!

Bradmac - sounds like you have to go back to work to rest! ;-)

Good morning all. I am trying to recover from the weekend. Friday night we took the kids to the Phillies Game (which they won) and did not get home until late. Had to get up early Saturday morning and get the house cleaned and ready. Tony's sister is getting married in 2 weeks and we had the bachlor and bachlorette parties Saturday evening. The bachlorette party kicked off at our house and then we went dancing.
Both parties did not end until late and we did not get to bed until after 3 AM and course the kids got up bright and early yesterday morning. It has been very very long time since I went dancing and stayed out that late. I am not that young anymore!!! LOL! I had great time out with the girls and dancing but I am so used to being in bed by midnight (if not earlier) on the weekends. It really took its toll on us.

Woke up this morning to unseasonally cool temps and loved it. It reminded me of a nice fall morning!!!

Minta - sounds like you had a great weekend!!! How fun!!! Ya just gotta do it every once in awhile to remind yourself why you don't do it anymore! (although we haven't learned our lesson yet - our weekend nights get pretty late once in awhile! It's the friends we keep! ha ha!) Glad you had a great time!!

I can't believe that june is already here. It seems like just yesterday that I was taking down the christmas decorations. Well here is hoping that the next 206 days go just as quick. Hello and a very Happy Monday to all!! Monday is house cleaning day - and so far all I have accomplished is getting most of the laundry done. Had to go to the post office and didn't get home until about an hour ago. My cat, who turned thirteen yesterday, greeted me at the door. I love when she does that So all in all, it's been a good day! The antique mall opened today, too. Hopefully we sell some of the stuff in our space!

Woke to a nice sunny day, which is perfect since today if friendship games day!! (all special needs kids get together for a day of fun and games) They come from schools as far as an hour away for this. About 100 kids with 2 helpers each (choosen from the host school grade 10 & 11 classes) and all the teachers and assistants are present for this.
Ahh, look at the time!! I have to go...have a great day everyone.

It's a great day! and I get to do Laundry,lol. gonna be a pretty day here,Finally.Kids are in school,Im planning our trip to Louisiana,and the laundry is spining.Now how much stuff can I fit into my hubbys SUV? I mean we are going for a few weeks,We need things to keep the kids busy in the Cah (car) lol.
I can see it now,he'll complain as I hand him the bags and pack the cah up...I love road trips...Wonder how many gray hairs I come back home with?

I hope your week has been good so far.
Things are well with the Crowns.

Today is my father's 84th birthday and we are treating him to cake, gifts and dinner out at Ruby Tuesdays. (Hey, why not? It's Tuesday, isn't it?)
He remains in good health and is still pretty sharp mentally (although he claims not to be!).

Nice out, with lots of sun and the temp standing at 73.
Looks like it will be another dry one, but the humidity is creeping up.
We may top 90 today.
Rain by late week.

Happy Birthday to your father, Crown!

It is supposed to be hot and humid today, with a chance of severe storms here in St. Louis. Time to formally welcome summer, I suppose.

Not a lot going today. Trying to tie up loose ends at work before we head back to the hospital with DH on Friday. Kind of getting tired of this! This should be the last visit for a couple of months, though. Yay!

I'm trying to work on my Christmas shopping list. How is it possible that there are no new additions to my family this year, yet my list seems to be growing longer and longer? Oh well, you can't stop the spirit of giving!
