Christmas Countdown - 2009

Good Tuesday morning, everyone!

It's supposed to be another hot day. Vacation Bible School started yesterday for the kids, and I've been appointed as the official photographer for the week. I'm supposed to take action shots for use in the Powerpoint presentation at the end of the week. It's lots of fun, as there are many hams in the crowd!

It's supposed to be a hot weekend in Ohio! We have our local festival this weekend - better be looking for some new tank tops!! :smile:

I´m tired and feel really miserable...it´s some kind of cold infect...and it came with a huuuuuuuge, terrible headache....I´ve been laying around most of the day....my throat is sore, too...it feels like fall...
 
Well not much going on today. Most of my day has been swapping Ice packs out on my moms foot and getting things for her. The rest of the afternoon will spent on the computer getting caught up on things. Hope everyone has a great day!!!!cheesy

finally get to check in today!

it has been a long, hot day at the zoo in Toronto. We took 3 busloads from a local school. I spent most of the time there walking around and looking at the different animals and displays. I have to say though, I would not pay to go to a zoo (got in for free since I was the bus driver)
I thought it rather sad that animals have to be locked up in small enclosures. I understand that it is used a lot now to help prevent extinction of different species, but still, they look so sad and bored.

Hope this finds all doing well. Don't know if any of you are excited, but the new Transformers comes out tomorrow...actually tonight at midnight....a buddy and I are debating whether to go or not....I know, I know...it's a little dorky but hey....we all have our guilty pleasures! I loved the first one. Thought it was a great movie. Cant' wait to see this one.

Man, was it hot or was it hot today? This was our second day in a row with heat index at 105....supposed to be worse tomorrow. Just went out to water flowers and it actually clouded up and we had a breeze....was actually nice!

I kinda agree....but at least over here....the most zoo´s have much bigger cages....training with the animals....get them stuff to do...even tho they are caged...most of em here don´t look so sad no more....but there is still a lot of work to do to improve life for those beautifull creatures

My favorite Christmas CD to listen to in the middle of summer is one of those store holiday compilation cd's that they put out as a fundraiser for a charity at Christmas. It is from Banana Republic 2002. It has kind of more of a jazzy/swing sound to it. For whatever reason, when it is like 1000000 degrees outside, that is the first cd I think of!

We are going to see it this weekend. My husband is a HUGH Transformer fan!!!!! He has a collection to prove it! LOL!
