Im just tired of hot sticky days (yeah yeah I dont like them hehe)
The real summer schedule always revolved around farming.. students use to also have a fall break for a month to help inthe fields....

Good Morning everyone. Well we have a 2 for 1 deal today. First it's Friday and second we have started the downward ride towards Christmas. We are offically under 6 months to Christmas. :razz:

Yay for the downhill ride! I'm so excited to be on this half of the year 
I'm finally heading back to work today after 2 unexpected days off with a sick kiddo. I was right, Veggie Tales dominated the TV, but we did at least sneak in one of the Christmas VT. Kaylin calls it, "Missmass Bob!" That just melts my heart!
I've been watching all of the coverage of Farrah and MJ. Absolutely crazy to have lost all of these icons of our culture. I feel kind of bad for Ed McMahon, though. His death has kind of been overshadowed by all of this. All three of them will be missed.
Anyways, I'm off to enjoy the 9th straight day of 100+ degree heat index. They say that Sunday a cold front will come through and the high will only get to 88! Woo Hoo! This heat is for the birds! I'll take the sleigh ride anyday!

My daughter has gone this morning to a morning birthday party. The girls are supposed to arrive on pajamas at 9:00am for a birthday breakfast, later changing into swimsuit for a noon swim. The party ends at 2:00pm. That's a new one on me.
My son has an afternoon birthday pool party that I'm invited to, also. It's my cousin's son, so that's good. He's also my best friend, so we can socialize while the kids play.
Lots of birthdays happening around here this week, and mine's in a couple weeks. For some reason, I'm not as excited about mine as the kids are about theirs. cheesy

Mom had to go to the doctor this morning and he said that everything is looking good. Not much else going on today. I am going to do some laundry and clean a little bit. I can't believe that we are on the downhill side of the countdown. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!
Yesterday I learned of a possible change in plans for this year's holiday. We may be spending Christmas with our entire family together in northern California. Brothers, children, in-laws. What is really exciting is that my mother's twin brother and his wife may be joining us for the first time. So happy with that news! They visited us last summer for a week and were the world's best house guests; we had such a good time together that we hated to part.
Nothing is settled as of yet, but right now it seems more likely to happen than not. Now if I could only cause it to snow in the Bay Area…

Hi Christmas fellas....I´m feeling better. the new meds are working and I improve....medication is really, really great....other than that...we are all bummed about Michael´s sudden death
