I have a lot planned for today. Don't know if I'll get much done though since I've been on the computer playing around for a few hours already! I want to clean, do laundry and finish up my fall decorating. Change out the flags outside and the wreaths. I like to leave the flag stuff up until Labor Day weekend at least before I move on to the fall stuff. But, I get the inside stuff started on Aug. 1st! I'm waiting for my husband to leave for work before I start doing anything though. I hate cleaning when someone is in the house with me. I feel like I can't function.
So many good things on tv to watch today and there was yesterday too! Grease, Grease 2, National Lampoon's European Vacation, National Lampoon's Vacation, While You Were Sleeping, Serendipity, Something To Talk About, The Sound of Music, etc. There was so much on between yesterday and today it's no wonder I'm getting nothing done around here. Add the computer into the mix and everything pretty much comes to a stand still! cheesy
I hope everyone has a safe and great Labor Day!
I've been thinking about you each day now wondering if you are going to go early or not. Good luck to you, I'm sure you're scared but, you'll do fine. Too late to back out now! cheesy

Crazy morning here, getting ready to move my daughter to her new home at college. Have to quick finish a batch of cookies to send with her. She and her brother are loading the car with the last of her things.

Good Morning, my Christmas loving friends! Hope this finds everyone enjoying their day off! Gonna be beautiful here....the wife and I are going to do just what you should on a holiday....NOTHING! No yardwork, no washing the vehicles, no house chores, nothing but hanging out, watching tv, maybe cooking something to eat and just being lazy. Can't remember when I did that last, but I can tell you when I'm going to do that next! Have a great holiday!

Was at K-Mart yesterday and I saw my official first holiday findings. They were just about ready to put out there Christmas trees and had already begun putting up boxes of lights and things like that. I got the look in my eye, i can just tell.

We had a great time camping at camp David this past week! (so named because the guy who owns the property is named David)
There was actually 5 days in a row of hot weather! Unheard of this summer. The unheated pool only went up to 72f but we went swimming anyway.
My brothers & friends where having fun with the fires at night, which got so hot we could not get close enough to toast a marshmallow!! (good thing it was out on thier farm, a provincial camp ground would never have allowed that kind of fun)
Below is a picture of one of the fires they built. They used an old wooden ladder and stuffed it with scrap lumber and pine cones.

Had a nice trip to the coast.
Things looked pretty good at the cottage. Did have to replace a broken door handle and cut alot of brush.
The nieces enjoyed the beach.

Today is the unofficial end of summer and I can't believe that we are so close to the 100 day mark!
Last day of my long weekend. I've been off of work since Thurs. so it's gonna be a little hard to go back. It's nice to have the long weekends but, sometimes these 4 day short weeks are the longest weeks ever! It's raining right now so it's a good day to be inside burning candles. Now that I'm all decorated for fall it's nice and cozy.
