Christmas Countdown - 2009

I put up my Christmas clock (plays a different Christmas carol every hour) This morning at 6am it played Jingle bells, very appropriate considering the snow we got yesterday and over night.

I have been looking for a clock like that but with no luck yet. I think that I may have to go to ebay.

Can you turn the carols off on yours?

Not a lot going on today. I may go down to the horse track and place a few bets for the breeders cup tomorrow. I will also be watching the nascar coverage. I hope everyone has a GOOD DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How exciting to be just one week from the start of the season!!! I'll be sad to miss the countdown to the season while I am on vacation, but I can't wait to get back and read the special posts that you lovely folks will be contributing! I shall return on the 13th, but probably not until very late.

Until then, just know that I will be celebrating Christmas 24/7 for the next week while I am on vacation in Branson. Finally - I'll be able to sing Christmas carols and no one will look at my like I am nuts! The people there with my will be just as crazy about Christmas! Yay!!!

I'll have lots of pictures hopefully and great stories to share from my trip as we kick off the season! Have a lovely week and I'll see you when the season is here!

I'm listening to the music online right now and I just keep thinking that in 49 days it will be Christmas day! The Christmas tree is going up in Daley Plaza today in Chicago and we'll see it the day after Thanksgiving!

Thanks for everyone's prayers and comments..so far my best friend is doing ok and my boys and God Daughter seem to be fine and not infected with H1N1. I have done just about all that I can do in preventing us from getting sick.. I wash my hands constantly and myself, my Hubby and my 2 year old have all gotten the vaccine.

Im looking forward to the weekend and spending time with my babies. I was hoping to get some Christmas shopping done on my lunch break but I didnt buy anything! Im hoping to get out a little this weekend and get a few gifts bought!

I got it at a thrift store this past summer. I was walking around when I suddeny heard Christmas music. It has been mine since! cheesy

Did your snow stay on the ground into the morning? Ours has already evaporated, but I have seen pictures on theweathernetwork.com.

yes it did, and boy was it hard to get off the bus windshield! (it was a wet snow that froze overnight) As soon as the sun came up it all disappeared, even my little snowman.

I can not believe how fast this week went by. Have been busy at work with people out sick and then I have to come home to a sick hubby. The bright side is that I am going to have my daughter help me make a pumpkin pie this weekend. She has been asking for one for a couple weeks now. That should be fun.

Coach- Junior qualified 9th today and have you the rumors that he is close to signing danica to race for him in the nationwide series. I am not sure about that but maybe she will prove me wrong.
