Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, last night our HS football team was bumped from the playoffs, but they played a good game against a great team. They fought hard and came close to winning. After the game, the families of the graduating seniors went out on the field to pat them on the back. I didn't go on the field, but last year the senior boys on the team were crying like children, because they had just finished their last game together.

I have a lot of work to do today, so I better get on it.

I hope you all have a great day!cheesy

sila....what part of this world do you live in that you are always up around 1 am my time?cheesy

I'll take the liberty of answering on Sila's behalf as I don't think she'll be back until tomorrow morning

She lives in Glasgow, so 1am your time is 6am ours!

Good morning, everyone!

I am up a little early. My friend asked me to help him move. Since he's helped me a lot in the past, I could not say no to the request. I wish I were still sleeping! It's another chilly morning here with a temperature around 0C (32F). A sunny high of 9C (48F) is predicted today, which will be real nice!

Kim and I went to see A Christmas Carol in IMAX 3D last night. The movie dragged on a bit in the middle. It really could have used some more humour in that part, but it wasn't meant to be a funny movie, so I understand. The special effects were great and the soundtrack was phenomenal! Overall, I enjoyed it but it could have been a bit better. I still recommend it!

Well, off to help move, I go. Have a great Saturday, everyone!

Good Morning once again, Everyone!

The weekend has returned - our LAST one before Christmas Season 2009 commences this Friday.
And just look - we are now LESS THAN ONE WEEK from the Season!
Days to the Season: 6
Days to Christmas Day: 48.
(What a great weekend starter!)

Ch-Ch-Chilly here in Raleigh this morning, where we stand at 36 degrees.
Coldest morning to date for us.
At least it is sunny with no wind.

OK, Minta my friend! You're first up tomorrow with the special day-5-before-the-season post, followed by the great Binger (well fortified with coffee, no doubt) then Yours Truly, Christmasstar, and last but certainly not least, Seawaters.
It should be an inspirational 5 days before the Season begins on November 13. I can't wait. This is always such fun!

Have a Stupendous Saturday, Friends!

Good morning all.....I woke up this morning with a STRONG desire to start decorating for Christmas.....the problem is that we will nto start decorating for at least 2 more weeks. Maybe I'll bring down the wrapping paper and my Christmas cards and start working on them.....cheesy
Have a great day!

I just got down 6 totes of my christmas decorations looking for my sisters stocking from when we were younger. Now I have it all sitting here and I keep thinking that I should just go ahead and put it all up. My mom keeps saying no but I think I will at least put some of it out. I will probally start wrapping some time this weekend also. I have everything bought for my niece and nephew in seattle so I am going to wrap it so I can get it sent out to my sister along with her stocking.

I don't have much on the plan for today. I will probally go do some shopping this afternoon and then sit back and watch football, nascar, and the breeders cup. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, when I started on this board, the wife and I made plans to go to Branson this weekend to look at lights, but seeing as how grad. school has got a firm grip on her, we allowed my parents to take our spot. they just called....I don't want to talk about it...lol.

Well, the 3 tons of leaves that were in my yard is now in one big pile....and the lights are about 15 minutes away from being put on the house....then to the inside....NEXT WEEKEND IS THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE NIGHT....which will be special once again!

Feel like the season starts tomorrow with the special posts.....I'm giddy to say the least....

What a blessed time of year!

Beautiful day in Ottawa, too. The temperature reached 10C (50F) with not a cloud in sight! Kim and I made a trip to Wal-Mart to purchase bulbs and a small star for the tree. It's decorated. I will take pictures and post them later. I still haven't been able to muster enough courage to tackle the string of lights and find the shorted red light. It seems like a strenuous task! I should really get on that.

it<s a new day here....and i will go to bed soon.....am tired...but in a good mood....love how the season is coming closer and closer

shopping for me also tomorrow.. need to finish it all up..

YABBA~

Well I spent most of the afternoon out shopping and looking at christmas decorations. My plan was to get my two nieces that live here done today but it seemed like all of the stores were out of what I wanted. I did manage to get a few gifts bought and a few new ornaments for the tree. The weather was wonderful outside and we topped out at almost 70 today. Goodnight everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well unfortunately i have fallen ill with the H1N1 virus, i am quarantined in my house until next thursday, which is sad, but also counts as a little blessing now that i'm feeling a bit better!
I finally made a list of what i'm buying everyone, been watching christmas movies, etc etc...=]
I think sometime next week when im allowed out of my house, I will be half way done shopping!!!

Good Evening. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I went to the Bazaar today. I had a nice time and even found the perfect ornament for my partner that I will be exchanging with this year. Tomorrow D/D has a birthday party to attend at build-a-bear. I am hoping to maybe go hunting. We have a few deer tags that need to be filled. Monday I have a parent teacher confernce to go to. So no school for the kids here that day. Although, my daughter will have her piano lessons to attend later that afternoon. Have a good one!
