I have finally gotten up from sleeping all morning. We had a great thanksgiving and a okay balck friday. Mom got sick so she didn't go out but she gave me her list and money and I went with my aunt and sister. I started out alone at toys r us at 10:30pm on thursday night. I got there and an hour and a half before they opened and was the 121st person in line. It was about 28 degrees out and there was a constant wind of about 15mph which made it worse. I was smart and put on my thermal underwear before I went but I should have put on two pair of socks. By the time the store opened the line was wrapped around the shopping complex. I drove the route the line took when I left and it was 1/2 mile long. The store was a mad house when it opened but I managed to get everything my aunt and sister wanted. I only bought one gift while I was there. The main reason I went was for my aunt who didn't want to stay up that late. I waited in line for 2 1/2 hours to checkout and then it was back home to meet my aunt and sister to go everywhere else. We then went to Wal mart, Kmart, Target, Kohls, Meijer, Fashion Bug, Sears, Michaels, Big Lots, Menards, and Walgreens. I was buying energy drinks at every other store to keep me going since I had been up over 24 hours at that point. When we got back later at 3 yesterday afternoon my friend called and asked if I wanted to go to downtown Indy to the lighting of the tree. I told him I would so he picked me up and we headed to downtown with more energy drinks in my pockets. We parked and walked down to the circle and enjoyed the concert and the lighting. Then we went to the big mall and did some more shopping. By the time he dropped me off at home it was almost 2 o'clock in the morning. I had been up for 46 hours but was so hyped up on caffeine that I went ahead and decorated the christmas tree and finished the decorations in the kitchen. I finally went to bed about 5 and just got up about a hour ago. I had a fun time but I didn't get much shopping done for myself. So I am probally going to go out later today to do some more.
