Good morning everyone !
It warmed up here and just about all the snow is gone. I sure hope we get more before Christmas.
I'm running a little behind this year on everything. The lights are almost up, the decorations inside are 50% done. Cards are . . . . . . well . . . . . . I'm still working on that. I'm not doing too well on the "Binger checklist". Wait a minute now, be for you all start on me, I have a few excuses. (Not all good ones, but at least I have them.) The best ones are the number of packages I've been sending over-seas. It seems the whole family thinks I'm the post office, and keep dropping things off to be shipped out to my son in Afghanistan.
I know a lot of you don't know me too well, but some of the people from the old Christmas.com days know I've been around for quite a while. I'm not sure if this is the place to do this, but I'll ask anyway. If any of you have sent out your Christmas cards, and you noticed that you have one left over, and you really hate to just toss it out, I have a request. There is this Marine I know. He is serving as we speak. He and his wife just had their 1st baby (A boy on 13Dec09). Because of where he is and what he is doing, he is not allowed to come home on leave. He will not see his new son (in person) until May or June. I'm not asking for anyone to run out and buy a special card, or anything, just if you have an extra card left over.
His Address is:
Cpl. Matthew T Lynn
HMLA 367 Fire Control
Unit 42065
FPO AP 96427-2065
Regular postage.
If you decide to send a card, please congratulate him on his new parenthood, and say Hi from the Iron Eagle. And please keep him and all who serve in your prayers.
All of us at the Eagles nest Thank You !
