Thanks to everyone for their prayers and well wishes! You all rock! I know it all helped to get the good results of being cancer free!

I get the good news, my daughter comes over for a short visit, then leaves. About 2 hours later I get a frantic call from her husband that he is on his way with the kids and dropping them off. I just say ok but have no idea what is going on. He gets here with the kids, one of my grandsons only had one shoe on! I know something is not right. He hollers that my daughter has been in a car accident on her way home from a parent/teacher meeting and he has to go to the scene. She was taken by ambulance and checked over real good at the hospital. No internal injuries or broken bones but she was banged up really bad. They gave her pain medication and told her she will be hurting for several days. There was 3 cars involved and it was this one lady's fault that according to several witnesses who saw the accident and the police did confirm that as well. The lady that rammed into her caused her car to spin and she plowed down a pole with the front end of her car. When it first happened my daughter blacked out then came to and she said she jumped out of the car running to the other cars checking on everyone else. She said all of the sudden she felt like she was going to pass out. She was the only one transported to the hospital out of everyone involved. Thank God the kids were not in the car with her!

Very scary but I am glad to hear that everyone is going to be okay.

I've been asked to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon today, since I'm a city councilman. I hope I don't have to speak! I'm also riding in tomorrow's parade. How strange for me! Maybe next weekend will be more normal.

My tournament this weekend has been canceled. The forecast for the site of the tournament - Millersville University (in PA) - is going to get hit hard by the low pressure system today and tomorrow. Tomorrow should have heavy winds and rain, which is not great conditions. We probably would have ruined their fields. Showers on Sunday as well eliminated all chance of going down. They canceled the tournament yesterday afternoon. Now we must come up with some alternative plans.

Sorry to hear that your tournament got canceled and I hope that you have find something fun to do this weekend.

I just got home from a long morning of working. It is foggy and rainy here and not the type of weather that I like to run around in. I now have all of my work done for this cycle and I can take the next 6 weeks off to help mom. This afternoon I plan to do some more spring cleaning. I plan on dragging the stove, freezer, and dryer out of the kitchen so I can clean behind and underneath all of them. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got home from a long morning of working. It is foggy and rainy here and not the type of weather that I like to run around in. I now have all of my work done for this cycle and I can take the next 6 weeks off to help mom. This afternoon I plan to do some more spring cleaning. I plan on dragging the stove, freezer, and dryer out of the kitchen so I can clean behind and underneath all of them. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yikes! Lots of work cleaning.

I try to do a really good cleaning on the apartment in the spring and the begining of november and then I just do quick cleaning sessions the rest of the year. Mom can be quite messy alot of times but at least with her having to use the walker to get around for 6 weeks after tuesday I should be able to keep it clean pretty easy.

After the first week mom should be able to get around okay with the walker inside the apartment so hopefully I can spend a few days out hiking and enjoying the spring weather.

Well we are getting are first real good t-storm of the year. The thunder is shaking the apartment but I haven't really seen any lighting yet. It looks like it should pass over us pretty quick and then just light rain until later tonight.

In some ways my daughter feels bad for that lady because she knows that she did not intentionally try to hurt anyone but she was not showing good judgment on the road that caused it. My daughter even tried to help that lady out of her car right after the accident but she almost blacked out and couldn't do anything. My daughter just needs her medical bills paid and running car. Hopefully the insurance will take care of all this mess.

Hopefully insurance will take care of it! I can understand feeling bad for the other woman, but I do not think too highly of people who take the privilege of driving a car seriously. For everyone's sake, I hope her judgment improves.

Well the kitchen is all cleaned and that just leaves the bathroom to get done sometime this weekend. Now I am trying to relax a little before going to bed.

I was just looking and post 2760 was made on 6-13 of last year. So we are 3 months ahead of last years rate.
