Good morning, everyone!!

It looks a bit hazy outside, but the temperature should sky rocket as soon as the clouds break! The forecast is temperatures into the mid 80s with humidex. Possible shower, too, but it should be a very hot one!!

Kim and I went to see Shrek Forever After last night. We saw Shrek The Third in theatres on opening night, so we figured we should do the same for the finale. While we both laughed hilariously at Shrek The Third, we were not all that impressed with Forever After. I'll admit that it was cute, but not nearly as funny as the three before it.

There are a bunch of tings to do today. It starts with making pancake batter while Kim is at the gym. Then, she will make those pancakes. We need to go grocery shopping and possibly to the Museum of Nature or watch the hockey game... either or. I may watch some Indy 500 qualifying, too. I need to cheer on Paul Tracy!! I haven't watched a race since his last race in Toronto. I'm more of a Tracy fan than a racing fan. Then, I will be going to the gym at about six. A busy day!!

Have a fantastic Saturday, everyone!!

cheesy Brent - my prediction was no blackflies and no rain for this long weekend, but the sky might be telling another tale. Supposed to be sunny after today.

:tree: No campfires allowed in my area - not enough rain lately they're worried about fires. They placed a fire ban in several places.

We used to call this the Old Milwaukee weekend. haha. cheesy

:hello: Took Mr. O'Malley the cat to the groomers yesterday. We're going to make this a regular monthly thing. It really helps us cope in the heat. For a supposedly short-haired cat, he sure does shed more than I remember any of my other cats shedding.

FYI - O'Malley is a Christmas Music critic. He cries when he hears certain sounds and thumps his tail and nods his head to others.

Hi all. Had a lovely day at the arts festival in our old neighborhood.. saw lots of friends, had a great time... my husband worked a very long, hard day and I guess was a bit tired and hit the median getting on to the highway and messed up the front wheel of our car pretty badly. Fortunately, his boss knows how to fix cars and said he can fix it and even gave him the company's pick-up truck to use until it's fixed. Still a bit scary to hear a call from your hubby saying, "I had an accident," and a bit frustrating, with everything we have going on! Oh well, things can always be worse. Just thankful he wasn't hurt or anything.

Hope you all have a nice, relaxing Saturday night.

Anybody want a kitten? lol jk

Well, yesterday my wife went out to water the strawberry plants in the back yard and she saw something run across the yard. She went over and looked under the stairs that lead up to our garage and there were 5 kittens under there, we caught them all and put them in a carrier, we have them in a closed off room in the cellar, and we are bringing them for their first shots tomorrow.
We feel the best thing to do for them is to catch them and give them a better chance at a good life instead of being feral. They are 8 weeks old (just a guess) at the oldest.

Judesmama-glad to hear your husband is okay

Mschristmas-glad that you had a great trip

Have a good night all!

Anyone have a printer recommendation for a PC? It looks like my wife and I will be getting ourselves an early Christmas present after our HP all-in-one printer decided to stop working this morning. We can't really wait too long to get a new one since I'm currently working on my dissertation, LOL! All I want is a printer that will last several years . . .

Glad to hear that you had a good time and that your hubby wasn't hurt in the accident!!!!!!!!

Too bad you can't get to the Indy 500 qualifying. Here's hoping that Paul Tracy has a great run!

I have always liked Paul tracy. I like the fact that he is a no nonsense guy and will tell it like it is. I am planning to go to carb day on friday since I didn't get to go to qualifying today.

We had a great cookout this evening. My sister called at about 1 pm to ask if me and mom could come out and help her get everything ready since my brother in law had to work until 5. So I went out and entertained my nieces while my sister and mom got everything ready. She had invited the family and a couple of her neighbors. There was a total of 22 of us all together. We ate, told stories, and watched the kids play. It was a great time. I hope everyone else enjoyed their day!!!!!!!!!!

Coach- Well at least junior was the highest finishing Henrdick car. That is not saying much though since they all wrecked.

It has been a long day and I am headed to bed. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC !

Going to be a hot one today...well, hotter than yesterday at 25c.
Taking a bus load into Toronto and it is always hotter in the city.

Have a great day everyone!! cheesy

Summer has arrived in central Indy. We are expecting a high of 88 today and it looks like it is going to stay warm all week long. I don't have much on the agenda for today. I am getting ready to head to church and then it will be home to watch the nascar hall of fame induction ceremony. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good sunday morning, friends! Hope you all enjoyed Satruday and hope you enjoy Sunday even more.

The wife and I had a date night last night and we went to see Date Night. Funny stuff! It was good for several laughs and we enjoyed ourself. The bad news i that my DVR didn't tape the race and I didn't get to see any of it, Made. I don't even know who won yet.

On the way last night, my wife kinda surprised me. Usually, I am the one who has this organized detailed plan for Christmas and she said that in about a month we needed to sit down and come up with a plan for our Christmas activities and schedule all of our shopping day, etc. I almost wrecked! It's exciting because this may make this Christmas even better. IMAGINE THAT!

Well, going to do some more yard work in a couple of hours and I want to read the rest of the boards. See yall this evening!

I think everyone really kicks into gear when QVC does its 48 hour Christmas in July...
