cheesy Glad it went so well. Hope I still know what Christmas is when I'm 90 years old. I could put up with many things, but I wouldn't want to lose my memories as I grow older. Hope Grandpa Eagle is doing well and enjoyed himself.

It was a great game and I am glad they won. I am torn about who I want to win today in the AFC game. I am thinking new england just so the colts play the jets next week. That way we can finish what we started a couple of weeks ago. I am also wondering if I would want them to have to play new england again so I might cheer for baltimore. New england could knock out san diego though and we always have a tough time playing them so I don't know who I want to win.

Well today I slow getting around. I have some laundry to do and I should be cleaning the kitchen but I decided that can wait until tomorrow. It is starting to warm up from this morning when we were 2 below zero. We have made it up to 10 right now heading towards 20 for the day. This afternoon I plan to watch football and do some cooking. I am going to make a ham for dinner and I am not sure what I am going to make to go with it yet. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW...today I've been in our Mall and seen a huge amount of Christmas stuff...like after-christmas sale)) SO BEAUTIFUL!!! And a great chance to buy smth in advance for next Christmas...and with discount 50%))))

Good Afternoon!

Crazy day here!
Started with -19c and having to thaw a frozen bus so I could pick up everyone for Sunday school.
Then when driving home the car breaks. I really mean breaks...the tie rod on the passenger side snapped and skidding to an almost controlled stop, it partly dug into the pavement. (good thing I was just in town going on 48km!) Spent the next hour waiting for the tow truck to come. :-?
Just got the chicken in the oven and stabbed my finger when putting in the skewers to hold in the stuffing.
I thought I would come here for awhile as there is not much to break and nothing to stab my self with!
If I was a coffee drinker, now would be a good time for one! But not being dependent on that beverage, instead I will make a nice relaxing cup of tea cheesy

My Sunday is going awesome since my away from home team, the Ravens just stomped all over the Patriots! After watching my current home team doing the same thing to the Eagles last night, that was awesome!!! :dance:
 
Hey guys! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I just got back from doing some grocery shopping and my in-laws arrived at my house while I was gone. I'm not sure I actually knew they were coming to town - which made for an interesting greeting. They are staying until Wednesday...God grant me serenity!

I'm trying to relax while I am home today, as I have a couple of stressful days coming up. We've got a new business consultant as of Jan 1. for our store. Our last one was very big on building relationships and was always looking out for us. This one is rumored to be called the "She-devil" b/c she is not friendly at all and is only there to see if the rules are all being followed to the "T." Her first visit to the store is this Tuesday and I am freaking out! In the long run, I think it will be VERY good to have her there to hold us accountable, but this first visit is going to be scary!

DH and I rented The Proposal last night and that was a riot! I think we are going to rent Four Christmases next. I've heard it is funny and I need a little something to keep me in the spirit!

I am hoping to hit up Target and Wal Mart this week to see if there are any more after Christmas sales left. Haven't had a chance yet, so I hope there is still some good bargains left!

We're supposed to warm back up this week. We spent the last 3 days in the single digits with negative windchills. We are supposed to hit 40 on Wednesday and I can't wait! I only tolerate cold weather for Christmas, so this is not my thing now that Christmas is past! It does give me a chance to drink some hot chocolate, though - and for that I am thankful!

Have a happy last couple of hours of the weekend!

I hope everyone's day was good. Mrs Eagle and I went furniture shopping. We found some nice pieces. To bad they won't fit in our little house. Maybe the next house (?).

Cold here, about 5 degrees with plenty of snow on the ground. Looks a lot like Christmas! I'm still going around some of the stores and finding a few good deals on Christmas deco.

I agree. Andy Williams is one of the best. I found an old Christmas record album of his at a garage sale. I have no intention of playing it, I just wanted to preserve it for the grandchildren. Some time ago you recommended - In the Christmas Mood (Glen Miller). I bought the 2 cd set a couple of years back. It fills an empty spot in my collection. Sometimes you need some Percy Faith, sometime Andy Williams, and sometimes Mannheim Steamroller. But sometimes Glen Miller just nails it down for me - just right !

This is one of the few places that one can say "Merry Christmas" and not have to worry about offending anyone. HEY EVERYONE . . . . . .MERRY CHRISTMAS. Wow, that felt good.


Made - Grandma Eagle (and the rest of the family had a great time. She always said she wanted to dance at her 90th birthday . . . . . . and she sure did.
And she's one of us at heart. She won't let anyone take her tree down untill the end of January (at least).


I'm going to get a cup of HOT coffee and walk down the street and enjoy all the decorated houses on the block (the neighborhood still looks great).
