Good Afternoon...well we just had a money wrench thrown into our budget for this year already. The support bar on our sleeper sofa broke yesterday and can not be repaired so we will be out shopping for a new sofa soon. Not a good way to start off the new year. Oh well....i guess it could be worse.

At least it has not been as cold as it has been so that's a good thing. May even see 50 degrees by the end of the week. That will be a heat wave for us. Need to sign up our daughter for softball at the end of this month as they will be picking the teams in March and starting up practice.

Have a nice day.

That sounds typical. Every time I think we are all caught up financially something breaks down. That's life I guess. Like you said though and what I always say as well, "It could be worse!" I always count my blessings when things like that happen. cheesy I sure hope you get a good deal on a new one!

Hi everyone... just saw the strangest sight! Someone had thrown their tree out on the curb ... FULLY decorated! I was half-tempted to stop and see if there were any good ornaments, haha! How sad though... throwing away those memories!

well guys,

it hasn't been the nicest start to the year for my family :-?

last night my aunt (through marriage) passed away :(

a few days ago she suffered a heart attack and was not found in time, therefore she went into a coma, when she was woken to assess the extent of the damage they found she was brain dead due to lack of oxygen and her organs started to fail.

it's just so sad and so unfair. my poor, poor uncle is heartbroken, they were so happy together and it's such a shock. she was a lovely lady and will be very sadly missed.

life is so short, we have to live it to the full and count our blessings.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I will keep you all in prayer.

Could be that the ornaments where just something they bought with the tree and had no meaning to them.

They should have had meaning after one year...

Johnor, that's heartbreaking. I hope that the rest of the year is an improvement from this low point.

JOHNOR I am so sorry to hear of your loss, my condolences to you, your family & your uncle!!!

Unfortunately for me.. I am feeling a little under the weather today.. Think it's just a simple cold..but I really can't afford to get sick right now.. I just added another class to my list of things to do..NO ROOM FOR RELAXATION anymore hahahah.. I laugh but i'm fairly certain i won't have a social life, besides work & when i scrounge up time to come on here:-(
But In the end it will be worth it, so i will stop complaining now hahaha

I was thinking of watching christmas movies tonight... just can't decide which one...hmmm

It's always hard to lose someone, JOHNOR, I always find it more difficult when it involves a child or an older couple and one of them is left without a soul mate. An old family friend of ours left her husband's voice on their message machine for over a year before changing it, but she kept the tape so she could hear it again. She also left his slippers at the foot of the bed for quite along time. She told me she knew he was gone, but it gave her comfort to keep those few things with her a little longer.

YABBA....

I stumbled along that route quite by accident and JayIsh was the second person to welcome me there.

Seems like a lifetime of Christmases ago. :tree:
