Christmas Countdown - 2010

I did not realize I posted so much this morning already... Oops. I figured this one could not hurt simply because it is my 1,000th post! I started posting regularly just over a year ago, so I will take it. I look forward to posting even more as we head towards the 2010 Christmas Season.

Well I woke up at 5am this morning and decided that I should go do some work. So I headed out at 6am and finished off all of my accounts around Indianapolis and now I can take the rest of the week off. I timed it perfectly since it is going to be beautiful out the next couple of days with the temperature only getting into the mid 70's. I am thinking about running to hobby lobby later today to see if they got anymore christmas stuff in last week. I will try to get some pictures if I go. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another day starting.......It is 5:42 a.m. and am getting ready to type my first report. Hope all of you have a great day !! Surgery is only 2 days away now.........A little apprehensive but I am sure my ophthalmalogist knows what he is doing.

Packers training camp means that the Season is right around the corner... Both the NFL and Christmas season, that is.

Work is keeping me from coming here. I hope I can find more time. I am currently on day 2 of a 3 day detox. I had some stomach bug for a while and the guy I work with told me about it. It's not bad. All I can eat is fruit and veggies whenever I am hungry. I am also starting to take vitamins and starting to exercise more.

Yep. Very excited! Summer is always a downtime for my sports watching. I really only enjoy watching hockey and football. It will be nice to sit in front of the TV again and take in some games.

I have a story to tell you regarding my son getting tired during a walk which in return helped me find my pet bird!

I have a Quaker Parrot and about 10 years ago I stepped out on my back porch with him on my shoulder. The wind picked up and carried him away. He was so scared but managed to fly over a 2 story building and disappeared. His wings were clipped and he was unable to fly well but since it was windy it helped him fly. We had a small search team looking all over the place until after it got dark. I could not sleep most the night worrying about him. My son at the time was 10 years old got up and wrote a letter to God to please return him. The next day we got up at 8 am and walked all over town for hours looking for him. We decided to come home for a break and suddenly my son was giving out and just sat down. I was walking way ahead of him and looked back and hollered out loud, "Trevor, come on, we are almost home!" I suddenly hear my bird responding to my voice and he was chirping. (very distinct chirp from wild birds). I started calling my birds name, Bailey (named after George Bailey from It's a Wonderful Life) and he kept answering me. I followed the sound and found him in some bushes in an apartment building next to ours! Bailey looked up at me so sad like I threw him away. We still have Bailey, he can live to be 35 years old. Because my son got tired and gave up on the walk helped rescue my bird! If I hadn't hollered out loud my bird would not have heard me! cheesy The scary part is he was in some low bushes and could not fly well. Thankfully a cat did not find him first.

I pray all goes well with your son's surgery.

Good evening all,
Long day, my older boy was pretty much wretched until bed tonight, we took a walk to break in our new Shape-ups sneakers, (you can really feel the burn in your legs) in the humidity, and he rode his bike. We walked to the school and walked the track (only 1/2 mile away at most) and he quit just stood there, so I had to go home and get the van to pick everyone up. He cried and whined all day, he was so overtired today, I feel so bad for him, hopefully the tonsillectomy in two weeks will take care of his sleeping issues. Back to work tomorrow, but 5 more days until vacation.
