I'm on hollydaze this week! I've been working on my Christmas book, doing a bit of housework although it's too hot and humid to complete my original plans, I'll have to save them for a cooler time of year.

:hello: I'm listening to MCR right now and so far it hasn't kicked me off the way it usually does when I'm on my laptop. Hurray!

Right now Happy Holiday (Manhatten Transfer) is playing.
 
:cry: Trying to catch up on things around here a bit before my husband taps his watch indicating I've been on the computer too long. He pays far too much attention to the news that claims more than two hours is too much and people who spend too much time on computers find it more difficult to remember things because it's so easy to go out and grab them from Google and such.

I beg to differ - I blame my occasional forgetfulness on my age. HaHa.


Congrats to those who are celebrating happy times!

:tree: Hey, Christmas is coming! Christmas in July is this weekend for me. Turkey dinner on the way!

a little update on kandice....she seems be getting better since yesterday....she woke up with a slight fever....but it went away by itself........at 10am the fever came back.....I treated it with cold towels and it helped....when we had to drive to the train-station to pick up the son of my friend I gave her the fever juice to lower it....cos I was afraid she would overheat or however u call that in the car.......since then there was no fever no more....not tonight, not this morning.....so keep on praying my friends

today, I am. It is so humid here I am having more problems than I ever had before with this cake. I am ready to throw it at someone! But that would mean I would have to start over again, so that's out.
I am taking a frustration break right now.

I'm kinda bummed about the number (or lack of) of Christmas shows on tv for Christmas in July. QVC & HSN have their specials but other than a Christmas episode of shows thrown in the line up here & there, there are no other Christmas movies or specials on this year that I have found. What a bummer!!! I guess I'll have to get out my dvd's!!

Well it is going to be a hot one here today with the high getting to 95 and the heat index reaching almost 110. I went out and worked for awhile this morning before it got to hot and managed to get the south side of indianapolis done. My plans for the rest of the day are to sit in front of the air conditioner. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought my Mom her Birthday cake on my work lunch break which we will be celebrating this Saturday. My Husband is going to make filet mignon in his special marinade for Saturday's dinner...yum yum! Also I bought my spiral ham which I will be having next Sunday for Christmas in July cheesy. My Grandma will be joining us and is going to make her famous stuffing. My Mom is going to make these Christmas cookies that she has never ever made except for right before Christmas but I talked her into it since this is "Christmas" in July! She is also going to bring an apple or pumpkin pie..we havent decided yet. I will be making mashed potatoes/gravy, peas,greenbean casserole and brown and serve rolls (if I can find them). I cant wait!!!!!! Im getting pretty hungry just thinking about it. Have a great Thursday afternoon everybody!!!
