Good Morning, Folks!

Whew!
The heat and dryness here continues. The rain never materialized yesterday when we hit a high of 93. Upper 90's are predicted for the rest of the week with decreasing chances of rain.
(I'm ready for some Christmas-style weather!)

Our continuing count:
Days to the Season: 116
Days to Christmas Day: 158
Two weeks and two days to the 100-day Season window, guys!

You have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone.
And remember - Hump Day tomorrow, with open house at the 'Pines!

Tomorrow I don't have to get up at 4:00am! YA! I cannot tell you the feeling I have about that! I've got the day off tomorrow because I have a (brain) MRI appointment - but at least I'll get the morning to do whatever I want...like be here with all of YOU!

I hope everything is okay!!!!!!!

It was my last night of vacation probably until Dec. 23, it was a great long vacation but I am sad it is over.

I am glad to hear tht you enjoyed your vacation and don't worry the holidays will be here before you know it!!!!cheesy

Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday. Busy, busy, busy. About to get on the road. Didn't leave last night b/c I just love being at home with my family so much. Kinda crazy though...wake up this morning for a four hour drive when i could have done it last night. But oh well.....see everyone tonight!

Have a safe trip friend!!!!!!!!!

Not sure how I am feeling this morning.
My daughter comes home from college and announces she has quit school. She now wants to move back home. She also says she wants us all to consider moving out to British Columbia a year form now with her.
So this morning I am feeling like I am in a bit of a fog. Not sure what to say to her about any of this.
Seems no matter how old they get, your kids are always capable of turning your life into temporary chaos!

Sheesh. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope everything works out for the best though. My Son is young so I don't have to worry about that...yet..

Welcome to Tuesday. Cloudy and cool in the 60's. But its supposed to get into the 80's to 90's :(. I'm listening to MMC radio! Eating breakfast and drinking a coffee. But do not worry, I like tea too! Can't wait to go visit my Mom this week. I'm keeping my eye out on the flyers that come in the mail for fall/Christmas stuff! I'm a little disappointed that I haven't seen any Christmas in July sales. Well time to do some surfing around here, facebook and the net! Have a great day all!

Oh...that's okay...I won't hold it against you if you're not a Leaf's fan cheesy. The IMPORTANT thing is that your not a Sens fan (HA!) - and the SUPER DUPER IMPORTANT THING is...you are not a Habs fan!!!

You already know that I am a Leaf's fan...but (oh...and I'm so ashamed to even say this out loud) my husband is a Habs fan! I know, I know...it is totally shocking! Oh...the rivalry that takes place in our home. Many a time I have put him in a head-lock and pulled his jersey over his head, eh! Hahahahaha! :hello:

Being a Habs fan is a sin in my family! At least you let him know about his faults on a regular basis.

Kids can come up with surprising news at times but it always works out. She must have been home sick and needs family. I am sure this has been heavy on her mind for some time to make a drastic change like this. Maybe she can go to a local college so she can stay near all of you. This temporary chaos might be a blessing in disguise. cheesy I have been down this road before and it all worked out in the end. Hang in there, we are here for you. (((hugs)))

That's a tough situation. Does she have any opportunity to return or did she outright quit without you knowing? Hopefully things will sort out soon, I certainly hope she would not let her time at college be completely wasted.

I still had 7 hours sleep which is more than I normally get!

With all this sleep...I'll be leaping and boucing - and doing circles today (just like my Roddi, Mercedes). Hahahahaha!

I wish I felt well with 7 hours of sleep. I don't feel right unless I have at least 8-10 hours. With less than that I feel terrible. I am glad you got a good nights sleep. cheesy
Last night was a rough night...I thought I may be coming down with a cold of some sort but I feel fine this morning...I didnt sleep very well though.. both Boys were up a few times. I hate broken sleep..its just not the same!
I remember those nights with the kids. Now I have those nights sometimes with my dogs, lol. I hope you get some rest and get better!
Good morning all... man do I have a lot of posts to catch up on! LOL! Vacation last week was wondeful. Everyone enjoyed the train ride.... much more relaxing then having to drive. Well while we were gone the dogs made a mess of the family room carpet, they got into a fight and one one of them bleed a little onto he carpet but it was enough to stain it. So over the weekend we decided to replace the carpet and felt since we had to tear the room apart to do that we might as well repaint. So we 3/4 the way redoing the family room. We will have that done and the pantry redone too by the weekend.

I have pictures of the Christmas Shop that is in Downtown Disney that I will post sometime this week.
Well have a great day.....
Glad to hear you had a nice vacation but sorry you had to come home to a messed up carpet. I cannot wait to see the pictures!

Good morning, everyone!!

Not much going on today. It's another sunny day in Ottawa. Temperatures are to reach the mid 80s. The forecast calls for mid 80s to lower 90s for the rest of the week. It's going to be another hot one! Work should be pretty busy today, but the people I need to talk to are all in meetings. I guess I have to wait my turn. Otherwise, things are good.

I'm heading back to the gym today for the first time in three weeks. I'm a little worried that I will be a bit deflated since I have not done much physical activity (with the exception of walking about 10 km per day in Amsterdam) since our tournament in Prague. Still, it will be nice to see the workout crew again. They are good people.

Since I've been away for so long, I agreed to miss practice tonight to spend more time with Kim. Actually, I haven't even unpacked from my trip yet, so I think I should jump on that and doing a bit of organizational things, too. Organization will be important as we are able to move into our new apartment at the beginning of August. We're paying for both apartments in August, so we are going to move in slowly... Hopefully we will be in the new apartment by about August 10th though... It's a little smaller, but it is way nicer and has air conditioning!!!

We're just over two weeks away from the 100 Days to the Season milestone!! How exciting!! Have a great Tuesday, everyone!!

OH DEAR! I hear what you are saying, Christmasstar! My sons will be 26 and 27 next month - and no matter how old they are...I still worry about them!

Im sitting here listening to Christmas music. I am off of work today and both Boys are still sleeping...ahhh I think I will make myself a cup of hot chocolate. Last night was a rough night...I thought I may be coming down with a cold of some sort but I feel fine this morning...I didnt sleep very well though.. both Boys were up a few times. I hate broken sleep..its just not the same!

Im taking my oldest son to the movies today oh and on our way to see my Mom for her Birthday we will pick her up some breakfast this morning cheesy. Have a wonderful day and in this heat I will be trying to think of how all the stores will look in another month or two with Fall and Christmas things out

You have yourself a GREAT day, MsChristmas! Ohhhh...hot chocolate just reminds me about Christmas and cold chilly days, with the snow falling lightly to the ground. What a lovely thought! I do the exact same thing...just image what the shops will look like in a couple of months!!! Oh...ITS SOOOOOOOO EXCITING!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!

I hope everything is okay!!!!!!!

Thank you so much, made! I will let everyone know the outcome when it happens. Maybe the outcome will be nothing and I won't get a call back from my doctor?? Anything is possible!

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your vacation!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear that the dogs ruined the carpet but at least you will have a nice new room to decorate for the holidays. cheesy

Oh yes...the whole family lets him know his faults - regularly! HA! Its a good thing he can take the ribbing - but let me tell you...those Habs fans can be sooooooooo smug (hence the reason I pull his jersey over his head)! cheesy

I wish I felt well with 7 hours of sleep. I don't feel right unless I have at least 8-10 hours. With less than that I feel terrible. I am glad you got a good nights sleep. cheesy

8 to 10 hours sleep! YIKES! I cannot even imagine how that feels!

Well it is going to be a hot and stormy day here. Once again I don't really have anything planned for today. My great aunt and uncle are leaving for Pennsylvania in the morning for a couple of weeks so I will probably walk over and help them load their truck up. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So...I had to drive my husband to work this morning because I need the car today. He saw that I brought a CD with me and he asked, "Is that a Christmas CD?" - and I said, "You know it!". So he says, "put it in now and we'll both listen"! So...it was Patty Loveless - "Bluegrass, White Snow" Christmas CD this morning! Just lovely!
