Good Morning All,

Well it's Monday morning. Usually I am bummed out by Mondays but thanks to MMC, I look at Mondays as getting me a week closer to Christmas. Before I found this site, I always wanted to hold onto the spring/summer. But thanks to all of you here at MMC, I now look forward to fall because its another step closer to Christmas!! Everyday, I come here and celebrate the countdown to the most wonderful time of year. I am so grateful for this site and all of my Christmas Friends. Have a wonderful day everyone!! cheesy

I just wanted to apologize for those dedicated to this thread for any confusion and hardship I've caused by moving this thread. I know many of you check it frequently and partiipate in it faithfully and moving it without warning like that probably wasn't a cool thing to do.

Hopefully you'll forgive me....

I have a conference call for work this morning and then I have some paperwork to do today. I will probably be on here a lot exploring all of the changes. Summer, oh summer, where have you gone? We start back to school tomorrow and I can't find my friend, summer! No, not the temp...Summer Break! It's gone! I can't find it anywhere! Sob, sob, sob. Wait.....guess who I'm looking for now....my bestest friend ever....CHRISTMAS BREAK!

I have not seen my granddaughter, who will turn 1 on the 24th, since Thursday. At that time she was taking a few steps then would fall down. It's now official that she is walking! My daughter said she was walking everywhere yesterday so that means grandma will be extra busy chasing her! cheesy

Wow!
Came back and almost thought I was on a different site!
Searched for a long time but found our (not so) little thread is still here and humming along.
And with that, a great big "Thanks a Mint!" to Minta for making sure there was no count break and for taking us past the 3/4 mark to the Season.

OK! On we go into another week:
Days to the Season: 89
Days to Christmas Day: 131
(Down into the 80's already. My goodness!)

Nice weather for a change down in McCormick County, SC for the family reunion.
It's usually hot and sultry there with the highs well into the 90's but we had quite a bit of rain and cloudiness so the time spent outside was more pleasant.
Currently, we stand at 80 degrees under calm, sunny skies here in Raleigh.

Anyway, it's good to be back in the saddle.
No more trips until the Labor Day weekend for us.

Good morning, everyone!

Four days in the hot Sherbrooke sun and I am beat. Our tournament started slow, but we made the final two days worth it. Overall, it was a good time. No injuries - only a little sore and tired. No time for rest, however. My league team has the quarterfinals for our playoffs tonight. Should be fun!

Overcast and humid outside right now, but it appears that the sun will be returning today after a rain-filled Sunday in Ottawa. There was also a massive thunderstorm last night at about 4:30 am. The loud booms shook the ground and lightning lit up the sky. It was impressive. Unfortunately, I only wanted to sleep and not be entertained by the night sky.

Another week, another new double digit number! We've already made it through the 90s and we're into the 80! Hooray! For all of you that are anxious for fall, I saw some yellow and red leaves in Sherbrooke as well as on the drive to Ottawa. Seems like fall is right around the corner, after all!

Well, that is about all I have for now. Back to work. Need to catch up after having Thursday and Friday off. Another new weeks means that we are just that much closer to Christmas! Have a great Monday, everyone!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Harriett, my sister-in-law, spent last week in NYC at a CPA conference. While there, she checked out all the touristy stuff. She came home this weekend and asked us to have a family get-together at our house last night.

She brought my son a birthday cake from Carlo's Bake Shop, home of the Cake Boss TV show on TLC. Nancy and the kids LOVE the Cake Boss, so it was a great present for him! It was pretty rich, but still very good.

Hey all! I have a question. About the new layout theme called Merry. I LOVE it BUT the original theme shows the Page # of # (where you can switch pages at the top and bottom of the screen). It NORMALLY shows my pages that I have viewed as red. But now all the numbers are red. How do I know what posts I have viewed and what ones I haven't? LOL. Oh and I have today off! Nice and cool 70 outside with 0 humidity! Have a merry day everyone! PS love the new changes too!

Good news - got an appointment with a pediatric neurologist for my little guy on Wednesday!!! I was so worried we'd have to wait for ages but they were so accommodating! Here's hoping the new baby stays put until after the appt!! I'm due a week from today so eeek!
