kandice is taking a nap and I am watching King of queens....gon pic up the car...the heater got repaired...finally no freezin in the car this winter.....last winter we were freezing our butts off

I just got a call from my son-in-law. They are taking my granddaughter to the doctor today. This is day 3 of her fever. The problem is, she doesn't act sick! I have had her with me the past couple of days and the only difference with her is she takes an extra nap. Other than that, her appetite is decent, she smiles a lot and still playing. I know I will be worried sick until I hear from them.

I know that their is a virus going around here that is lasting abut a week. I will be praying that she gets better quickly.

This past month I've been housesitting for a friend with a computer, that's how I found you. Looks like I'm moving this weekend, so I'm packing up my few things today and getting the house in order. I've never had a computer before and doubt that I will again - I see why people like the internet so much - it's been great fun to participate on your forum! Good afternoon all!

Spent my morning grocery shopping with LC, he was excellent, he usually acts up while shopping. I am living the Autumn/Halloween dream right now I found Harvest colored M&M's today and bought The Monster Squad DVD for $7.50 for another movie to watch during the Halloween season.
I hope everyone along the east coast in Earl's path stays safe the next few days.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!! It is another hot day here in central Indy and we are finally expecting some rain today. Relief is on the way tomorrow with a high of only 76. Not much on the plan for today. I have spent most of the morning watching coverage of Earl and thinking to myself that one day it would be fun to go down south and ride out a hurricane. I don't think I would chance one as strong as Earl but a category 1 storm could be fun. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Xmas365, I never slept well when my kids were sick. I would sleep nearby to keep an eye on them. Especially when my son was having asthma attacks. I was up all night watching his breathing. Even now that he is an adult I still get up all night checking on him if he suffers from attacks. He also has a heart condition which makes me worry even more! My friend lost her 27 year old son to asthma last year so you never can be too cautious.

We did get news on my granddaughter. She has a throat infection. I am surprised because she was drinking just fine without any pain! I am glad that she is getting some antibiotics so she can hurry up and get better!

It has been raining most the day here and I am glad! It has really cooled off, 76 degrees. I don't have to run the air conditioner! I was listening to one weather report and the weather lady mentioned how the rain has finally let up in certain areas. FINALLY? What the heck does she mean, finally? We NEED THIS RAIN and more rain is welcomed! cheesy

I hope everyone stays safe from the hurricane!

Good Thurday morning, my Christmas friends! (It is Thursday, right?)

It was another uneventful evening yesterday. I should have cut the grass, but I didn't. I should have washed my truck, but I didn't. I should have...well, you get the idea. I gotta get in gear!

My son's birthday is Sunday, and he's been trying to arrange a big airsoft war with his buddies, but we keep running into scheduling conflicts. Airsoft is BB guns with plastic BBs. They wear long sleeves & pants and safety glasses, and go to war! I might have to join in on this one. LOL!

I really worry big time when my babies are sick. My son almost died at birth and then really got sick at 6 months of age. I took him to the doctor with a fever assuming I would go home with an antibiotic and he would be fine. They sent him to the hospital to be admitted with influenza. Then in later years lots of trips to the ER for asthma attacks. Now if my grown kids, grandkids, husband, parents barely get the sniffles I worry. I always think the worse. :-?

Oh Tink...I felt so sad when I read your post!!! I didn't realize you would be here for only a short time - and I've enjoyed getting to know you! You've brought so many smiles to us -youve been an awesome addition here! We will miss you! Don't give up hope...maybe some day you will have a computer. Keep smiling...keep Christmas in your heart and soul - and think of us as we approach Christmas and on Christmas Day itself...and know that when you are thinking about us - we will be thinking about you as well! The Texas State Fair starts this month. I haven't been to it in over 10 years but I am a member of the museum on the fair grounds. You barely walk through the gates at our fair and you're broke! Lol!

Well...my hubby picked me up from the train station and on the way home he started playing the Christmas CD we have in the car! Oh...he knows how to tug at my heart strings!

We were both singing along and then I let my imagination drift as we drove through our neighbourhood to our home. Thoughts of falling snow and Christmas lights and decorations on everyone's home filled my mind. I told my hubby what I was imagining, and he said "Awwww...you went to your happy place" :rudolph:

My wish for you tonight is that you too...have a happy place to go to - and that your evening is merry and bright!!!
