Good Weekend Morning, Friends.

Hey! Let's not mess around. Straight to the count!:
Days to the Season: 63
Days to Christmas Day: 105
A scant 5 days now until the 100-day Window opens on double digits to Christmas 2010.
Heavens! Time has passed so quickly this year.

Sunny, calm and a refreshing 68 degrees outside as I type this.
For the first time in months, the weather service predicts a high below 80 degrees.
<< My, oh my, get that walk in, Crown! >>
I will!

I walked by "A Christmas To Remember" yesterday evening after eating with my father at Panera Bread. Everything is still shuttered and hidden from view with brown paper over the windows except for the outside sign.
No indication of any activity for the last couple of weeks but it's coming!

Have a Sensational Saturday and enjoy your Weekend, Folks!

I am posting this in honor of all who lost their lives or who lost loved ones on this horrible day 9 years ago on September 11, 2001:

I pledge allegiance
to the flag
of the United States of America
and to the Republic
for which it stands,
one nation,
under God,
indivisible,
with liberty
and justice for all.

May God Bless The United States Of America.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, I sure did enjoy it.

I can't believe today is 9/11, I was a mere babe, but I do remember it. I was in 9th grade. My school I guess didn't want to alarm us, so they made no mentions of it. So when my mom checked me out of school I thought she was crazy because I thought she was a day late from doing that (my birthday was the previous day). She then asked me if I watched the news or if I knew, I told her no. She then explained to me, I was speechless. The only thing I could think of was my brother, he was at a military school at Ft. Stewart Army Base in Hinesville, GA. I remember just watching it over & over & over. My life changed.

Also, that day my father was a work (he's a firefighter). I cried a lot that day, I'm a true daddy's girl. I NEVER want anything to happen to him. But he realized that I missed him, so he called me every so often just to let me hear his voice.

I just want to extend a sincere thanks to the men & women of NYPD & FDNY. God Bless them all.

Morning friends! What a great start to Saturday! It's is raining, football is on, and I'm about to take my 2nd nap. I love Saturdays in the fall....

Going to be reading the boards and then it's off for another nap. See yall later.

Good afternoon, everyone!

Just quickly stopping by. It's a beautiful day in North Bay. The sun is shining with a slight cool breeze. The fall season truly is only 10 days away. However, in half that we are only 100 Days away from Christmas!! What a milestone! Great update on "A Christmas To Remember," Crown. For many reasons, I look forward to that paper being removed! What an exciting time of the year we are in!

Last night was a good time. My section mates are very fun people. There was about 800 people at the campus pub. Apparently, it is one of the nicest campus bars in North America. I'd believe it. I could not believe how outstanding it was when I first walked in.

Tonight - or should we call it NFL Regular Season Eve - we are having a little poker tournament. I'll do my best to win! Now, I must do some cleaning. I have laundry to do and lunch to make. I'm starving!

Have a great Saturday, everyone! Enjoy the weekend!

I tried to stay away from the Tv today because I knew that they will show lots of 9/11...but in the end I found myself watching it again....feeling exactly the same way as I did 9 years ago......in the morning there was a plane flying over our heads and I could think was, that if that happened today 9 years ago 2pm...I would have been scared to death...that day changed all of our lives...not just in the US...but the entire western world....we just don´t seem to be so unfazed with things no more....when I go to places where there are many people....in the back of my head I am always a bit afraid that there might be a psycho like that to take us all to death with him.....

I have many friends who are muslims and love my dear friends...and I hate how all of the muslims are dragged into the mud with those narrowminded extremists.

God bless all the victims of 9/11th....and all people that want to live in peace.

Didn't get a chance to read through everyone's posts but thinking of everyone affected by the awful tragedy in our country today... hope you are all having a wonderful day with family and friends.

My grandfather hasn´t been at great health the last one and a half years....so i want to spend as much time with him as possible...I am afraid that this might be his last christmas with us, because he has been in hospital three times already this year because of heart problems...so we will spend as much time with him as possible.

I'm sorry to hear that Track. I will keep him in my prayers.

Good Saturday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

I had to open the store for my father-in-law again this morning, then I did a little work on my business, then I took my daughter to this weekend's festival in town. It was nice, but TOO HOT! It's 98° here!

I'm relaxing with a movie today. I never get to do that!

Track, I understand and agree with what you said. Thank you for this post.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!! I woke up this morning and turned on MSNBC for what has become a tradition of mine on this solemn day. They re air the today show broadcast from 9/11 every year in real time. I always watch it to remind myself what happened that day and why what we are doing over seas right now is so important. I can remember that day clearly and the fear myself and everyone around me was feeling. I was working a couple of miles away from the Indianapolis airport at that time and I will always remember the constant stream of 45 planes coming in to land and then the silence that followed the next couple of days. I will also not forget the fear I felt when I learned that one of our family friends who is a member of the FEMA search and rescue group Indiana 1 was called up to head out to New York to assist with the rescue effort at ground zero. It is an experience that he has never talked about and one I don't think I could even imagine. I am sure that in time we will stop looking back on every 9/11 like we have on December 7th and Pearl Harbor but I hope that time is not soon.

Wow!!! It's only 72 and rainy here.

It's not too bad here, either... high of 80 and low humidity. They are calling for 72 and rainy tomorrow, so like I said, you are my meteorologist, lol!!

only 75 posts til I reach the 7000....too bad if I didn´t have so much computer problems I could have more than 10000.....what a bummer

oh well...there are worse things....then I gotta get to the 10000 before Christmas....that s quite a lot posts in 104....I guess I won´t make it
