I'm going to check out the Pines.....I wonder if cats and camels get along?
Man, I'm so glad Wednesday is over! I can't wait for this weekend. We are going to a Flea Market (a big one) and looking at Christmas stuff and then we are going to check out Garden Ridge and their Christmas display.

It was a fun day today, I have been listening to a band's music that I have recently discovered 43 years after its release, a group from the U.K. called Kaleidoscope, it is some great music if you like jaunty, happy music from the 60's. It has really put a smile on my face listening to it. I finally finished getting the rest of the outdoor Halloween decorations up today, JP was thrilled, and my wife was surprised when she got home and saw it.
I have found my smile again! cheesy

Good Thursday morning! Miners have been rescued! Woo!! They should relax with their family at the Pines! William was still sleeping when I got up and left for work so that is good. A friend of mine came over to talk about financial planning last night. Had a good visit as well. Going to get a pumpkin this weekend and my Mom and Sister are coming down on Sunday. I finally took both kids out to a store ALONE yesterday - not as bad as I thought it'd be!
Target had some Christmas stuff out and Jude almost jumped out of the cart to see the lights, lol! I sometimes think he loves Christmas more than me! I told my husband we have to go to the mall this weekend to check out the beginnings of the Christmas displays!!!
It's a nice, cool fall day today... highs in the low 60s and rainy later.. then reeeeeeally windy the rest of the weekend. I think we'll be hanging out inside today.

So happy to hear all the miners were rescued. I bet they couldn't wait to get a SHOWER! Yikes, I would go crazy going that long without one. Lol!

Rainy here for the first time in a while.
We stand at 64 degrees currently bound for only 70 this afternoon, a welcomed cooler high.
Our downhill-slope-to-the-weekend count:
Days to the Season: 30
Days to Christmas Day: 72
And you read that first figure right -- we are now UNDER a month away from the commencement of Christmas Season 2010.
(And won't that month seem to go fast!)
A good time was had by all at the 'Pines yesterday.
O'Malley rode on Carl's back with a Christmas wreath around his neck.
But wouldn't you know it - he was carrying a sign hawking another of Carl's questionable fruit-coffee blends!
Oh, well. I won't let this commercial camel ruin my Christmas spirit.
Hey! The annual NC State Fair opens this afternoon!
That always seems to kick off the holiday season around here.
Lots of fun, good food and exhibits.
(Don't like the rides myself but my nieces love them.)
And think of the fried twinkes! (No. I can't get them to stock FIRED Twinkies yet. Maybe some day.....)
Anyway, you all have a Thrilling Thursday.
(And get all geared up for Weekend Eve tomorrow!)

Our State Fair fries everything! Even fried twinkies, beer, butter, frito pies. You name it, they fry it.

Good morning everyone.....home today. Today is our 10th wedding anniversary so I am taking lunch to my hubby at work! Right now I am enjoying the forums, my coffee and listening to MMC Radio!
Last night we took the kids up to the local fire house as they had an open house for fire prevention week. The kids had a blast checking out everything and I got to catch up with old friends as i used to be a member there. Had to give it up when the kids came, just did not have the time to devote to both while still working full time. I still miss it but do not regret my decision...my kids come first.
Well off to refill my coffee and check out the rest of the forum.

It's sunny and cool here in NJ. Nice Autumn day. I have been getting ready for the Christmas season little by little. Seems like I am skipping right over Halloween and Thanksgiving. But since I entertain on Christmas Eve I am trying to get things in order for that wonderful evening. Only 71 more days til Christmas Eve and it seems to be coming a little fast to me. If you can, try to do something for Christmas today. Pick a spot somewhere around you and vision a Christmas Tree in it. What a lovely vision. Well I hope everyone has a GREAT day. Talk to you later.
YAY!!! I got my email too!!! I cant wait for the T-shirts to come out. I bought one last year and wore it over a heavy sweatshirt so i could go without a coat/jacket. I got so many compliments!! I also recruited lots of new members too!! I LOVE BFADS!!!
