Hey everyone! Looks like the winterstorm is heading right for us. Supposed to start up tomorrow afternoon and run for about 12 to 18 hours. Not that we are going to get a large amount of accumulation, but for us it is. My friends to the north might laugh, but they are saying around 8 inches of snow....and we just aren't used to handling that type of weather. The thing that really concerns me is the 2 inches of ice we may get. Last year, we had a town that was without power for almost three weeks. That wouldn't be any fun!

We are going to buy groceries and gas, etc. tomorrow. Anybody got any other tips?

See everyone tomorrow!

I am hoping we get snow.....but we seem to be on the border with ice and it wouldnt surprise me if it rained more than anything. I think its funny they try to pinpoint who gets exactly what and how much 48 hours in advance.....they cant get it right the day of!

Snowing like crazy this morning!! :snowball:

Nothing closed or cancelled, but it looks great out there! Going to have to get out there early to clean off that bus.
:cold:

Coach be careful down there friend. If you have a propane stove or heater I would suggest that you buy some extra propane. I would also suggest alot of salt with 2 inches of ice.

Well the IRS seems to be on the ball this year. I just filed my taxes last wednesday and they deposited my money today. I would love to take it and buy a super bowl ticket but my truck needs new tires and the main seal on my washer has started leaking so I will be looking for a washer also. It looks like we got a little less than a inch of snow last night so hopefully the other drivers aren't driving crazy today. I am off to work and I will be back here this afternoon. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all! Hope this finds all well. Getting ready for work and bout to head out. Just wanted to drop in and tell everyone to have a good day. Going to get cold today, but I like cold weather. May be tomorrow before I get back on, going out to eat and buy groceries tonight. See everyone later!

Good Morning, Friends of Christmas and Fellow Holiday Supporters!

Frozen precip could start falling in our area starting late tomorrow afternoon.
Could be a messy weekend. I just hope it will be snow and not freezing rain and sleet.
(Beauty is one thing; accidents are something else again!)
We currently stand at a chilly 37 under the usual calm and sunny skies.

Days to the Season: 289
Days to Christmas Day:331
Two weeks from tomorrow, Guys! The 1/4 Season Milestone!
Then, just a short hop to the 300-day Christmas Day mark.
Wow! We are racing right along, aren't we?

Hey! Weekend Eve tomorrow!
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm knee-deep in a pot of coffee this morning, too. For the second night in a row, my daughter climbed in bed with us in the middle of the night. That wouldn't be bad, but she is a rough sleeper. I was slapped in the face twice and kneed once in a tender spot. I gotta get some sleep!

It's another beautiful day today here in south GA. It was about 31° with frost on the ground this morning, and I think it's supposed to get to around 60° and sunny.

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I have to stop watching the weather......some have us getting substantial snow....others just rain sleet and ice. Drives me crazy!

Good morning, everyone!!

It is a calm -5C at the moment here in Ottawa. I will enjoy this enjoyable temperature because we are supposed to plummet to -28C (with windchill) by tomorrow morning. It seems that we'll be in negative double digits for nearly the next five days. As I have said before, I can handle the cold, I just don't like the wind!

Today is my last day working in January. It seems like just the other day, it was my last day working in Novemeber - I had December off - and getting ready to finish my assignments to head home for my extended Christmas Holidays. If I am fortunate enough again this year, there are only 10 more months until that happens!

Here's hoping we can reach 1300 posts by the end of Sunday! Have a great day everyone!!

It's been snowing for hours and it really wasn't suppose to snow much at all
today, but seeing it snow like it is makes me want to go out and string up some lights outside
counting down and down

I completely agree. It was 15 here this morning but we were having 25mph winds so it felt like -2. It doesn't seem to matter how many layers I have on the wind always cuts right through me.

Who's your favorite driver? Mine is Jeff Gordon. I don't really follow NASCAR anymore but it is fun to watch, especially live.

What a day we've had here!

Started out not to bad, then bands of snow began to arrive. Some schools further north of us closed, but we all went out. By noon when taking kids from one school to another, I could hardly see past the front of the bus, and that was in town.
Then roads in the country began to close.

Now temps are dropping quickly, and I am very glad to be home.
:snowball:

snow predicted for here this weekend.. groan..

YABBA~
