The funeral for my friend today was really touching: 21-gun salute, flag folding, and of course, Taps. I was asked to be the Lector at the funeral. I was also the Lector when my friend was married in 2004. I was very touched. Take care of each other. Thanks for listening.

been to my annual visit to the village cinema to see "it's a wonderful life"

just love this film, it always brings a tear to my eye and makes me realise what christmas is all about.

30 mins til we hit christmas eve in the UK.

WOW! Christmas Eve already in some parts of the world! Enjoy the evening! It is 4:30 in the late afternoon here in northern California on Thursday, Dec. 23. Tomorrow will be a quiet time for us. I am trying to organize my teacher books to sell or give away. I have WAY too much stuff. Man, I wish I could recoup all the money I've spent from my own pocket for my classroom. I might be rich!!
