I'm sorry, sugarplum. October 19 was four years since my dad passed, and like Binger described, it was a shock and we almost didn't get over it. Honestly, my responsibility to be strong for my mom and my children is the only thing that kept me from falling apart.

It cold again. At least it's not raining right now. the local paper says we actually have a small chance of some snow tomorrow! The last flurries we had were about 10 years ago. The last time we had any accumulation was at least 20 years ago. That would be awesome!

IT IS ACTUALLY SNOWING HERE! Not just a dusting but it's really coming down and covering the ground. The last time I seen it snow like this was on my birthday 6 years ago. I guess this is my early birthday present this year since it's in 2 days.

It remains relentlessly cold with lows steadily in the 20's and the highs barely into the 40's.
Coupled with that, we had high winds yesterday with lots of branches and pine cones to pick up. Can't even imagine what the wind chill factor must have been.
It's 36 degrees here currently under sunny skies.

Good morning!!! I woke up this morning to find myself having been biten by the Christmas Bug again. Have been checking out old Christmas commercials on the computer this morning. Watching them reminds of Christmases past and is giving me new ideas for future Christmases. It's way to cold and windy out to go play in the snow. Plan on staying inside watching Christmas movies this afternoon!

Annette: I think President's Day is always the third Monday in February, so this year being the 15th, it would be the earliest date that it ever could be. You are correct, it is earlier this year!
Valentine's Party this afternoon at DD's daycare. I guess we'll just celebrate our love for four whole days! DH asked me last night when Valentine's Day is---he never does anything until the last minute. I guess he just didn't want to totally forget it!

Here is a picture of my chihuahua, Chico, running in the snow. He is so interested in it since we rarely see it. My short haired chihuahua doesn't like it too much so I have to put her sweater on before she will go outside. I can't believe it's actually snowing and it's still coming down! Yay!
Sounds like fun! Since we getting snow here today I might do the same!

That is almost as much snow as we have on the ground here - we don't have a lot for an regualar Ottawa winter. Nice to see that your dog enjoyed it for a while!

I love these next four days coach. The duel 150's today are always great races and the truck race tomorrow is usually really good. Junior will be racing the nationwide race saturday and he looked awesome in practice this morning so that will hopefuly give us something to cheer about. Then the daytona 500 on sunday is always exciting. This is defintely the biggest weekend of the year for nascar fans.

The sun is out here in indiana and the wind has finally died down. No snow today thankfully but more coming in tomorrow night. Not much on the agenda for today besides watching the nascar races. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son and I built this 4 ft (approximate) snowman across the street from my house at an elementary school. We are going to watch the kids get out of school and possibly destroy it, lol. Now watch them be real nice and leave it alone but we don't mind them having fun with it. cheesy
