I swear my town is experiencing the most mild winter..EVER

In contrast, we are having an unusually cold winter here in Dallas, Texas. We are gonna be in the 20s this week and maybe even get some more snow. This will be the coldest winter I have experienced since moving here 6 years ago.

18 degrees and frozen fog here this morning as I head out to the airport for a New Year's excursion to SF and LA. I'm up before the count but wish you all a happy whatever day it is.

Have a Safe and Fun trip!!!!!!!!!!

Well I am getting ready to head out to work. I am planning on sticking close to home today. The company just gave all of it's reps new handheld computers right before christmas and so far they have had nothing but problems with them. My first one crashed last week at the first store I went to and the they had to send me a new one because they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. So I am going to stick close to home to make sure it work's befroe I drive an hour away to some of my accounts. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all.... Well it looks like the outdoor Christmas lights will be staying up and on for a few days long. It has been too cold and windy to go out and take them down. The wind chill factor made the temps feel like it was in the single digits all weekend. Alot of my neighbors left their outside lights up and on too. Guess it was too cold for them too. Will try to get them down one evening this week or this weekend. All the inside stuff has been packed up.

Did some Christmas Shopping over the weekend...cheesy. Got a couple of people half way done with their baskets.

Oh well it's back to work today.....

Have a great day and stay warm.....

You're more than welcome, but I'm not Auntie!!

OOPS!
Don't know how that happened, Maureen.
(Either not enough sleep or Bing caused a distraction by spilling plaid coffee on the table next to me)

Good Morning, New Year Friends!

Let's get straight to the count:
Days to the Season: 313
Days to Christmas Day:355
Under 2 weeks now until Milestone #1, the 300-Day Season window.

Baby, it's cold outside!
We stand at 24 degrees currently, with no relief in sight. Our highs are not predicted to get past the mid 30's for the short or long range forecast.
Possible frozen precip here by Friday.
BRRRRR!

Well, cold or not, try to have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

That's okay - we Canadians sound the same!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERY ONE!!
I can't wait for warmer weather. gotta get my lights down by 1/30 or HOA fines.
we had a tour bus come see our display wow it was cool. the train still has problems and i am considering selling it. as it has become more a pain than a neat feature.

other wise im now working on next years new music for the display.

Our tree is staying up a while longer yet ... we have guests coming on Saturday and Sunday, and they specifically asked us to keep our tree up! We also have a little one in our "movie room"---that's staying up, too, because guests always get movies in our house. But the books and music have gone back to their shelves and boxes, and our wreath will come down January 6th.:sparkle:

Happy New Year to everyone! We put away all of our Christmas decorations yesterday except for the outdoor stuff. I'm hoping for a warmer day to do that. I get sad when Christmas is over but I'm looking forward to the next one. Maybe it will be even better. :tree:

Goooood Morning to you too! It is very cold here for Texas. One of the coldest winters I have seen in awhile!

uuuuuuuuuuuuugh.....First day of work after Christmas and New Years......how annoying...but funnily....I did good at work....but the day started bad....really bad......we overslept...so that sucked big time....then we got outside....and couldn´t even open our gate cos it was frozen......then when we finally got ....I found out the car´s doors were all frozen....only the passenger side was able to be open......then inside I found out the heater in the car didn´t work again....and the front window was frozen terribly....inside and outside....so I got kandice out of the car and called mom´s to ask if she could pick us up.....in the end....I made it to work on time....which is crazy considering all that didn´t work out.....and I did good at work too....so the day so far is on a good note

My first day back too, I couldnt wake up this morning and now that I am at work I dont know what to do here, I think I forgot how to work cheesy, well trackrebel sorry about your morning, I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Say, when are we going to reset the countdown clock on the top left of the screen?

It's still cold down here, and my truck had a dead battery this morning. Luckily, one of my Christmas gifts was one of those roll-around battery chargers with 200amp cold-start capacity. Imagine me as Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor rolling out my big battery charger and barking as the truck jumped at the turn of the key! Arf, arf, arf!

But, it's still giving me trouble. Guess I'll have to get a new battery.

Other than that, It's been a trouble-free first day back to work. Better than I expected, really!

Have a great day, my friends! cheesy

Sorry to hear of your car trouble Track and Brad.

I decided to take on a task for the new year that I have put off for years! We have a bedroom that use to belong to my daughter and when she moved away to start her family, I have been just using her room as storage since our house does not have a garage. It's an absolute mess! I am going to go in there and clear out some clutter to make the room functional. Eventually put a bed in there for a guest room. I thought if I posted here to tell the world that I might actually get in there and do it instead of just talking about it! Ok, as soon as I am off here I will get to work.

what a fittin christmas present for You Brad...good You had it

Well my friends, another day closer to the this years holiday season!!!cheesy
I am quite envious of those of you whom are getting snow this year:snowball: HOWEVER..i am not envious of the Windchill!
also welcome here maniac!cheesy

Yea i went back to work today also. went smooth kinda sad all the christmas stuff is gone. but atleast its one day closer to christmas

Well I am home from my first work day of the new year and and my first day using the new handheld computer they gave us to use. I hate the new handheld because it takes forever to load. It also locks up all the time. I hope they get them figured out soon or I will be looking for a new job. I went to all corporate stores today so all I had to do was go in and check and see if they stock certain items. I use to be able to be in and out in 5 minutes. Today it was taking me almost 30 minutes a store. I am only gettiing paid 20 minutes per each of these stores so it was not making me happy. I have 197 corporate stores so I am not spending an extra 10 minutes at each store that I am not getting paid for. I hate to see how bad it is when I get to a indpendent store and have 4 times the amount of work to do. Well I am off to call my boss and tell him they need to get this fixed. I hope everyone has a good evening.

Track and Brad sorry to hear about your car problems. I hope you get them fixed soon.

Brad those battery chargers and jump starters are wonderful machines. I sold mine when I moved into my apartment because my aunt complained about how many tools I was putting in her garage. I have a couple of jump packs but they don't work near as good.
