I am going to settle in early this evening and get ready to watch the Olympics.....
I have been watching them too.
The USA is leading in total medal count so far.

Good Morning, Friends!

Another step into the week - another step closer to Christmas Season 2010.
Days to the Season: 270
Days to Christmas Day:312
Mighty close now to single digits to the 300-day Christmas Day window!
We are really truckin' on down the road, aren't we?

Again cold (so what else is new?) where we are just under 33 at this hour with sunny skies and no wind.
Little chance of any precip through the end of the week, so if you don't mind a little nip in the air, it should be good outdoor working weather.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!

We had a great, but tiring day yesterday. Very interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes of putting on the TV show.
In case you have no heard, I got to be on Breakfast TV yesterday with my family. (and about a dozen other families)
We got served breakfast by Denny's at the studio.
Met all of the hosts, the crew and got lots of photo ops with them. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures from my new camera, I will put some on here.
We also received lots of free stuff! Gift bag of Quaker Oats products, t-shirts, 4 lift tickets to Blue Mountain ski resort, 4 tickets to the CN tower, another free breakfast at Denny's, a couple of nights at a hotel in Niagara Falls (with tickets to the indoor water park)

Sounds great! I can't wait to see the pictures.

The guys in the office were laughing at me yesterday. For Valentine's, my kids gave me a Capt. Kirk bobblehead since I'm a Trekkie. When you make his head "bobble", he says "This is Capt. James T. Kirk of the Federation Starship Enterprise." I put it on my desk and I've gotten some good laughs. LOL!
That's a great gift! My son is a Trekkie too. I also remember my dad and brother watching Star Trek all the time. Gotta love William Shatner!

Coffee machine broke??? That is beyond tragic!!!! If ours breaks I will sell my computer to get a new one if I have too. Can't start my day without coffee.

What? Coffee and computers go together. I have to coffee with computer time. Wait until my computer is back from the shop and then you can sell yours.

Also third snow of the winter here today...no big ones just a few inches each time..but i am about to be ready for spring..those of you that get hammered every year...i would get sick of it!!!! A few each year would be nice but anywhere above Virginia and Kentucky i think snow would probably loose its luster to me!

Wow, I woke up again today to more snow...and it's coming down pretty wild right now, too! It sure does help to keep me in a Christmassy mood!

I'm hoping for a quick week...as I get a week off next week! (And boy, do I need a little break...feeling kind of worn down...)
I have been loving the snow we have got this year. The snow that just hit us February 12 set a record for the most snow in a 24 hour period. We got a foot of it. It was beautiful! I am glad we have had a real winter for a change because it will make me appreciate spring when it arrives.

Enjoy your time off ElfSpirit!

Sorry about being passed up for a promotion.

Congratulations on the new family members!

Good morning, everyone!!

I think I may only be able to post a couple times this week. We're on "Reading Week" for school, which is essentially our Spring Break. I'm only working today and tomorrow and then scheduled to go home for a few days on Wednesday after work. Kim is coming with me and we're hoping to catch a ride with some friends rather than the bus - much more convenient.

This post count is flying! We should be at 2000 within only a couple days. Quite the feat! Maybe even 2500 before the 300 day mark. How fantastic would that be?! The weekend here was real nice. Kim and I went skating on the Canal on Valentine's Day. It was really packed, but we managed skate for about about four or five kilometers (3.6 miles?). It was a little windy, but we managed!

Anyway, I should get back to work. Have a great Tuesday, everyone!!

I forgot to mention how much I am enjoying the Olympics! It's nice to be entertained by nearly every single event! Vancouver is doing quite the impressive job as host!

Only 70 posts to 2,000, guys!

todays is the last day of Carnival over here (Mardi Gras) still many, many parties going on, people in costumes, loud music and on...it´s fun....but I am glad it´s over now....the big parades went on yesterday in Mainz, Köln (Cologne) and Düsseldorf.......hundreds of thousands people came there....I even think more than a million in cologne...carnival is big in those abo ve mentioned cities....huuuuge i tell ya...nobody seems to be working now more

There are lights still up all over Norfolk.. weather has just been too bad for people to get them down...

YABBA..

Same around here. One of our neighbors still has his colored christmas lights up around their house and has then on in the evenings. This past weekend I saw quite a few house with outside Christmas decorations (wreaths with red bows, candy canes, garland) still on houses in and in front yards. Even past by a house with their Christmas Tree still up and on, it had colored lights. Made me want to dig our stuff back out again....but of course I didn't.

Happy Mardi Gras! Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!!!!
Hubby wishes he were home, at a parade, eating crawfish.
