Frosty one this morning. Some would suggest it's a balmy -34 out there, but I'm not one of them - brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Chimney smoke going straight up and slightly blowing to the East.

I'd be hibernating today, but I have a bit of shopping to do. :cry:

Man, what a week. Is it Christmas yet? Somebody wrap me in paper and take me under the mistletoe. I'm ready for a break....

All in all, it wasn't a bad first week back to work after being on vacation. I didn't even feel "hump day" until Thursday and by then I knew the weekend was so much closer.

Here it is! The weekend!

Most of my friends from work have totally "grinched" their homes. I'm cleaning tomorrow and leaving a few special items out to have a wee bit of Christmas around me all year.

Saw my first sad and lonely vision last week when a tree still containing tinsel among its branches was tossed onto a snowbank waiting to be picked up and hauled away.

Once the centrepiece for the family during the holidays, now waiting to be taken to the dead tree zone.

That's one of the saddest sights to see.

Well the first work week of 2010 is over, and what a week it was. By far the coldest it has ever been since I moved to Texas 6 years ago. I don't know if they broke any records or not, but I thought I was back in Maryland for a few days there.

A little more snow overnight here, maybe an inch or so, but it is pretty. I can't believe its been THIS cold for THIS long but no "real" snow. I will take what I can get though.

Good morning....sitting here listing to Josh Groban singing Believe at the request of my little guy. Enjoying my coffee and this nice sunny morning off from work. However it's stilll COLD out. Highs today only expcected to make it into the mid 20s.
Picked up a couple more Christmas gifts the other night. I really need to print off new pages for my Christmas notebook so I can keep track of everything I bought but first I need to go to the store and get ink for the printer.
I am going to try to post our Christmas pictures later this weekend.

Well have a nice day and stay warm.

Well. I can relax and enjoy the rest of the day, another cake done and delivered.



Going into Toronto for the day, visit my favorite cake supply store and then to the Royal Ontario Museum. Going with some friends and my daughter.

Took my father out to eat at Panera Bread in Crabtree Mall and every trace of Christmas is gone!
The mall looks so bare (yet so clean!)
Well, we are ready to begin anticipating next year (er...later THIS year, that is).

Well, there is just a, I guess you would call it, a sports proverb that talks about how hard it is to beat a team in football three times in one season and how traditionally teams haven't fared well attempting to do so. Just makes me nervous I suppose.

Good Saturday morning all my Christmas loving friends! Off to a great start today because I have done nothing but drink coffee!! It's wonderful! You should try it sometime.

Today should be a blast. I'm going to sit here and work on some presentations for work and some meetings on my laptop while watching football and sitting on the bed while leaning against my back rubbing thing that my wife got me. I might even take a nap or two BEFORE the playoffs start! Ah, the pleasure of a day off!

Mornign everyone!!! Been cleaning all morning... we have a showing at noon so I have to take my little guy out in the cooooold and find something to do during his naptime! Blech - hope this is the one, though!!!

Big news for us!!!! Found out before Christmas that we are expecting baby #2!!! I got to see the heartbeat on an ultrasound yesterday and it was so exciting! Due in August so we'll have two sweet babies next Christmas!!! I can't wait to meet this new little one!!
