Oh, by the way . . . .

Playing in the background: Johnny Mathis - Winter Wonderland.

I just woke up and haven't heard the news yet. How awful! They need lots of prayers.

I agree.

I typed out a whole paragraph on our helping them and the french response. Then I erased it. After all, this is not the place for talk of such things.

cheesy I'm back.

We passed a motel not far from home called the Whispering Pines

:tree: not the Shispering Pines, but close enough to make me feel connected to my merry chums!

We're getting closer to the 1,000 post count in this thread.

To quote Binger "YABBA" :snowball:

:)) I'm off today, back to work tomorrow. On our quick trip to Ottawa, we saw several homes still decorated for Christmas including one that still had their inflatable tree up.

In the car we listened to Nat King Cole and Jo Stafford and the Yuk Yuk's Best of Comedy CD, once again I was connected to my Christmas Chums via Don Harron's character Charlie Farquharson's Christmas bit.

I never thought I'd live to hear the day when I was about to shout "turn that down" to my parents. The volume was set to 43 so they could feel like they were right there LIVE. My husband and I rarely have our volume over 23.

Found some new Canadian content for RJD, but no Christmas tunes - still it was odd enough to become instantly RJD worthy.

Have a great day! :hello:

Good morning, everyone!

It's mid-week! That means only one more working day for me. I have completed my three classes for the week and am looking forward to finishing work tomorrow at 4 and then working on a few assignments throughout the weekend. With sports consuming my life from March on - and training until then - I must ensure that I finish plenty of my assignments early. Two presentations, a 25 page paper and two ten pagers and a few other things are not going to finish themselves, unfortunately.

We're almost at 900 posts. The goal should be reached by today, which is fantastic! Hopefully I will get the opportunity to calculate how far we are ahead of last year's pace at lunch! Binger is right about possibly reaching 1,000 this weekend. Wow! It's nice to have so many new contributors to the thread, too. Great work!!

Anyway, I should get back to work. I need to increase this production level! Have a great day, everyone!

cheesy Morning Brent. Did you see me wave to you from the Hwy.? Actually, we were in Kanata so I could have been waving for nothing. HeeHee.

I hope you enjoyed Ottawa as much as I do! I really like it here.

Good Wednesday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

Another beautiful day here, and I have my windows open again. They say we'll have thunderstorms tomorrow, but I'll enjoy today.

Not much happening around here. Just another, regular work day, but I'm happy to have the job!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Hi Christmas friends! My 5 month old son Dylan is rolling over and scooting all over the place. I know he will be crawling soon enough and that is where the real trouble begins cheesy. Im looking forward to getting out of the month of January and a month closer to the Christmas season. My oldest son Evan will be celebrating his 3rd Birthday the 1st weekend of February and then there is Valentines Day...just get me through the next week and a 1/2. Im thinking of Spring (and Christmas of course) and hoping for some warmer weather. Hope everyone is doing good!

Actually, the Shispering Pines was "inspired" by the Whispering Pines, as long-time readers know.

:tree: But, my Whispering Pines isn't the same as the U.S. version of the same name.

Well what do you know. I hadn't had time to listen to it yet, but I received Alex Pangman and the Alleycats Christmas Gift in my stocking this year!

Yeah baby - that means I have Christmas content. Interesting story, this talented Jazz with a Bluegrass twist gal had a double-lung transplant and the CD I heard was her new release, the one I have came out in 2006.

Will have to send that on its way soon. :treeguy:

Thanks. We get there a few times a year to visit our grown sons and grandchildren. I don't hit tourist spots too often we're busy bonding for most of it. I've been to all of the museums at least once and the Ex twice.

Here the temps have been going up and down, right now it is very sunny but -5c and with the slight wind even colder. brrrrr

I too am starting on plans for this Christmas, already got my book going with notes for all kinds of good stuff! cheesy

Howdy. Leaving snowy Salt Lake for rainy LA this morning. Made vacation plans by the glow of my still-up Christmas tree last night. I almost have my wife talked into keeping it up all year.

Leave it up Jeff!!! Show us how it's done!!!

The Mrs. and I have talked about going artificial as the cats love to drink the dirty tree water and we could leave it up longer...We may just do it...Our neighbor has an artificial tree that I actually thought was real when we saw it...It was gorgeous!!!

1/4 of the way there is that close!!! Ya gotta love that!!! We got our Christmas gifts credit card bill...We didn't do half bad...I didin't faint or anything!!!
