My goodness i Havent been on in AGES!
I have been SWAMPED with Homework & Working.. Just popping in to say hello, hope all is well=] hopefully sometime soon i can come on here for longer than 5 mins!

Good to see you!

I've joined the Y M C A ! I am hoping by the end of 2010 you will seeing a lot less of me cheesy

I know the YMCA here has lots of activities to join here. Did you join to use the gym or another activity? I went to the gym at one here and it was very nice.

Morning friends! Bout to begin getting ready for work. Running a tad bit late this morning, but I have been watching the weather. The weather they were predicting for us is now being called a major weather event. That's not good. The last time we had one of those I didn't have power for 2 weeks. Keeping an eye on that.

We might get some snow here as well. I hope everyone stays safe there!

HEYBrad you were the star in the latest opera... a foiul to the evil Crown.....
BWAAAHAHAHAH!!

Good Morning, Friends!

Bright, calm and sunny here in Raleigh with no rain prediction.
It is chilly at just under 40 degrees.
And like my coffee-swilling twin in SE Virginia, we also face possible snow this weekend.

Our count:
Days to the Season: 291
Days to Christmas Day:333
We are now under 2 1/2 weeks away from Milestone # 2, the 1/4 Season mark.

I have mixed feelings about the Super Bowl.
Have long been a Colts fan but it would be nice to see the Saints win for the first time.
Think I will just sit back, hope for a close and exciting contest and enjoy the game regardless of the outcome!

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everybody!

It's the grandkids who wanted to go to the museums, but they were interesting.

It's only three and a half hours in good weather to get to Kanata from here. Our other son lives in Ottawa "in the Glebe". We enjoy our visits there.

Still kicking myself for missing the Springsteen concert at Scotiabank Place two years back.

The Glebe is a very nice area! I am still lkicking myself for that, too. I had a tournament that weekend. We don't return from tournaments until about midnight, so I was out of luck. I really hope he comes back sometime.

Good luck! There is no better feeling in the world than finishing a hard workout! Stick with it and you'll love it!! You can do it!

Hey everyone!

I just got home from work. My voice is gone. I have a little cold and cough and talking with my Pre-K all day sort of did my voice in for the day. I plan on drinking some hot green tea for it later.

Made~I am so glad you had a good time. Good luck on hat shopping.

I hope you are feeling better today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I waited to long to go to the store yesterday and they were all out of colts gear. :-? They were supposed to get a new shipment in today about noon.

Good morning, everyone! It appears that I disappeared for a few days and missed nearly 20 pages of posts! Wow! I am more than impressed with everyone's contributions. Binger, great opera!! I was honoured to have a small part in it. I've been practicing my vocals quite intensely and I hope my performance was at least satisfactory.

Although I did not get to do much school work, I still had a busy weekend. Practice on Friday night then I had hockey on Saturday and Sunday nights. We only had eight players for our Saturday night game... To say that we were exhausted would be an understatement. It was fun though. I went to a Crossfit training course on Sunday at noon, too. That was very intense and tiring... well worth the $20 as well. Hopefully I can incorporated the workouts into my training and see a bit more of a payoff.

I enjoyed watching football on Sunday. It was great to see the Saints beat the Vikings in OT!!! Although I was and am not a fan of any of the four teams remaining, that is the team I wanted to see ousted the most. Hooray!

Well, have a fantastic day, everyone. Great performances by all in the opera and it is so nice to see the count closing in on the 300 mark!

Oh, and congratulations on the victory, Made. That must have been a fantastic experience!

Stay Safe Down There Friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first post to this thread, we have almost made it through the toughest month in the countdown in my opinion. Looking forward to the future holiday season, I have already been thinking of the menu for Christmas Eve since we have it this year, almost been overlooking the fact that we have Easter in 2 months. As my wife would attest the Christmas countdown has begun i our house.

Well I woke up to a surprise today. They had been calling for a few snow flurries over night but we got two inches. So I went out and shoveled and put some salt down. The rest of today I will spend getting ready to work the next two days and I am going to try to get my bedroom organized. I also am going to run to a few more stores today trying to find a new colts hat. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the countdown thread and feel free to join in. We have alot of fun here every day. I agree that january is the toughest month to get through. Seeing all of the christmas stuff coming down always makes it kind of depressing but having this wonderful place to come to makes it alot easier.

I know that I am glad to have this place to come to! I haven't felt so blue this year since Christmas because of this forum. :treeguy:

Every time I start to feel gloomy from Christmas withdrawal, I just turn on my favorite online Christmas station and visit these forums. You all are always such a source of joy and comfort for me when I miss Christmas the most. Thank you for being here - and here's to a wonderful Christmas 2010 season!

It is actually addictive! I was a member of a gym for 5 years and loved every minute of it. I was even offered a job there to be a water aerobics instructor but was working full time already and had a bit of "stage fright" to stand in front of others teaching that, lol. I slacked off of it a bit then health issues hit (oh fun!). I have a treadmill at home and trying to get back into the routine again.

Have fun!!!

Late to the party, as usual...GREAT opera Binger! They get better each episode! Puccini is shakin' in his boots!!!

So January is close to leaving us for another year, we are just weeks away from 1/4 of the way to the season, and there is snow forecast for the weekend...what could be finer???

Glad to be on the road with you good folks with all of us singing our arias and wearing our tights!

Jay
