.....As I got up to make coffee, got everything cleaned up and ready....I started the pot and went to do a couple of things....AND FORGOT TO PUT THE COFFEE POT BACK IN IT'S HOLDER!! So coffee was everywhere...on the counter, in the floor...it was a mess!
Bing's greatest nightmare.....or greatest opportunity, depending on how you look at it!

Good Morning, begining of the week Friends!
.....and we take but another step on our journey back to Christmas.

Days to the Season: 243
Days to Christmas Day:285
And hey look, guys! The ONE THIRD MILESTONE IS HERE!
(Already?? Gee, I'm afraid to look to see how close the next marker is.)

Well, I'm acculturated to DST now, but still don't like it. Getting up in the dark - grrrrr!
We currently stand at 45 degrees here in Raleigh, bound for a nice sunny day with no prediction of rain.
Can't beat that!

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Have I said how much I LOVE daylight savings time? I LOVE IT! More daylight in the afternoons.

It was a busy weekend for me me with our church having a fund-raising BBQ chicken dinner on Saturday morning. The fire was started at 2:00 am, and I got there at 6:00 am to put on the chicken. We cooked 500 chickens over a large pit and sold the plates. We also had our local Rattlesnake Roundup which included a parade. I was in the parade representing the city council. Lots of fun!

I hope you all had a great weekend, and will have a great day! cheesy

I just realized that today is the 33rd anniversary of my dad's death. It's hard to believe he's been gone that long. I still miss him.

I always thought it was ironic that in English class that year we were reading Julius Caesar, he was killed on March 15 (The Ides of March).

I'm sorry, my friend. My dad's been gone 4-1/2 years, and I can't imagine I'll ever miss him any less, either.

Morning friends!! Hope this finds your day off to a better start than mine. I'm going to win the "Dummy of the Day Award" here at MMC. As I got up to make coffee, got everything cleaned up and ready....I started the pot and went to do a couple of things....AND FORGOT TO PUT THE COFFEE POT BACK IN IT'S HOLDER!! So coffee was everywhere...on the counter, in the floor...it was a mess!
The first time I ever made a pot of coffee was at a snack bar I worked at as a teenager. I filled up the back with water then I filled up the pot with water and started it. Of course it was already full of water then continued to filled with coffee. A big mess but we caught it before it finished making.

I am so sorry sweetie. I wish I had the chance to meet him.

Good Morning All!

I am beat! Yesterday they killed us at work but I still enjoy what I do. It's spring, the day was sunny and warm and the gardeners were out! They were lined up out the door before we could open. They were buying up garden plants, chicks, ducks, bunnies and more. Customers were still in our store half hour after we closed. We even turned our lights off and they were still shopping! We don't stay after work to clean or re-shelve, we do that during business hours, we actually close and go home! So we just had to wait until they were done. It's all worth it when your boss tells you at the end of the day, "thanks everyone, job well done!" They are great people and I am forever grateful for them!

I was so tired I didn't even get on here last night. I also think I was tired from the stressful week before with my daughter getting in the car accident and having that biopsy done.

The kids are on spring break this week and the weather should be good. We are going to find some outdoor stuff to do this week.

I hope everyone has a great day!

WOW it is hard to belive that we are already 1/3 of the way to the season!!!!!!!!!! I guess the saying time flies when your are having fun is right.

I am glad to hear that you get use to it so quick. It always takes me a couple of weeks before I can make myself go to sleep and wake up at the right time. :-?

When I worked for napa I always hated the first couple weekends of nice weather. You knew that everyone had been putting off fixing their cars in the cold weather and they would be lined up 5 deep at the counter all weekend getting everything they needed to get them ready for spring break.

Today I need to finish getting the bathroom clean and the washer moved from the bathroom to the kitchen. Then I have a couple of last minute errands to do before mom has surgery tomorrow morning. I will also do some cooking this afternoon so all I have to do is heat stuff up the rest of the week. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know how you both feel. It's been 11 years this month that my mother passed. I swear not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Sometimes my daughters reactions make me think of her too. And I will always wish I could pick up the phone to call her one last time. Or to even stop by and see her. We were very close (as is the rest of my family). But I know one day we will see each other again!

Good Morning Friends! A bright and sunny day here this morning. S/O and I plan to work on our home and do some insulation and drywall. I don't know if we will ever finish our home renovations in our lifetime...*L* It can be stressful at times but in the end it will all be worth it I'm sure. I hope you all have a good day!!

I had to travel on a highway through rainy weather last evening, and was grateful for that extra hour of light because of Daylight Saving (not Savings) Time. Someone I know who has Seasonal Affective Disorder, and has spells of depression during the winter, is also probably glad to have more light than dark in his day.

Well the bathroom is clean and my running is done. Now I am going to take a break before I start my cooking.

The 1/4 mark to christmas day is just 11 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom has been diagnosed with open-angle glaucoma.

She will be going for laser surgery in a month. (During laser surgery, a tiny but powerful beam of light is used to make several small scars in the eye’s trabecular meshwork (the eye’s drainage system). The scars help increase the flow of fluid out of the eye.)

She has also been put on xalatan eye drops which have to be taken once a day at bedtime to also help relieve the pressure in her eyes.

Doctor says it was caught in its very early stages . She will now have regular appointments and the eye drops for the rest of her life.

I am so grateful she is being well looked after and that it was caught so early.
