It's too bad I have my long day of work tomorrow, its a huge day for sports fans here in New England but I am going to miss the Boston Bruins vs Philadelphia Flyers game at 12:30, that is the one game I really WANT to see but I can't. I am not a fan but the Celtics vs Cavaliers are on, and even though its early in the season, the Red Sox vs the Orioles are also playing. I will get home just in time for the Kentucky Derby though, I don't bet I just really enjoy watching Horse racing ever since I read Seabiscuit. It should be a interesting!

Welcome to MAY everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody watch the weather, there is some more bad stuff headed my way!

Stay safe friend!!!!!!!! We are going to get the northern part of it tomorrow and they are saying that we could see up to 4 inches of rain. :-?

Coach- Junior looked good in the first practice so I don't know what happend during qualifying. Don't forget it's a saturday night race!!!!!!!

Well I had a fun night at the horse track and casino. I only lost $20 dollars so that wasn't to bad for being there 4 hours. I made my bets for the kentucky derby tomorrow and hopefully I win and make all the money I lost back. I am not holding my breath though. Now I am headed off to bed. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:-? Naughty Auntie - I haven't made it this way since the last Binger Opera.

Sorry folks, somehow life has gotten in the way a bit of my merry pleasures - fear not - I am still as much of a Christmas Wacko as I was before I joined this forum. :rudolph:

:treeguy::hello: Looking forward to the Kentucky Derby. I don't bet for real, but I always choose three horses and the majority of the time at least two of them place in the winnings.

Not sure about today's picks, but I'll have my eyes on three beauties!

Later on, I'll grab a viewing of The Grinch

Hello! Hope you are all doing well and are having a great weekend!

Rather dreary morning, but we need rain here so I'll take it.

It's been a while since I've posted anything as I've been busy and there are lots of changes going on within my family. I have been lurking, though :)

I haven't been starving myself, just changing my eating habits. I have had poor eating habits for awhile now, and I am cutting out most sugar. Just getting adjusted right now.

Tell your daughter congratulations on her new job!

I completely changed the way I eat over a year ago. Not to lose weight but just to feel better and get rid of the chronic stomach problems that plagued me for YEARS! It sure did work. It does take time to adjust but now I find myself craving veggies all the time and glad of that craving! The same thing will happen with you. I still eat a little junk from time to time but not like I use to.

Thanks for the congratulations! My daughter appreciates everyones support here.

Not shaky today, just really craving sugar right now, temptation feels like it is surrounding me, I see candy, cupcakes, soda calling me. I held strong and did not give in had pretzels and an orange instead. I weighed myself when I got home tonight and I have lost a total of 5lbs so far. cheesy By cutting out regular soda I am saving 1000 calories a day, yeah I drank that much a day, add how much candy and other junk food I am now avoiding my caloric intake is a lot lower. I am now 11 days w/o regular soda, and I am amazed how much more energy I have. I don't feel like I am running into a wall by the evening.
!
Sounds like you are doing well!

Sounds like you had a great time! My hubby, parents and I went to Choctaw Casino last weekend for a few hours and had a good time. I am not much of a gambling person, just sat at the penny slots. I am the same way when I go to Vegas. I just hate to see them get ALL my money. cheesy

Welcome back, Auntie!
(And O'Malley, too!)
Glad you are here with us as we close in on the Season half way point.

Speaking of that:
Days to the Season: 196
Days to Christmas Day: 238
Two weeks from this date - the 50% Season Milestone.
Wow!

Sunny and slightly breezy here at this hour where we are already at a balmy 72 degrees.
We reached 83 yesterday, but it did not feel hot owing to the low humidity.
Now, tomorrow we are supposed to get into the nineties and that will be a different story!

I am looking forward to the Derby too and try not to miss any of the triple crown races each year.
(Hey, now! Triple Crown. Hmmmm. New logo. Three Crowns. Um ---- maybe not.)

Have a Sensational Saturday, All!

Welcome Back!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be a tough race to pick this year. There is going to be 20 horses and with the track being muddy that is going to change things. I like sidneys candy but he has never ran on dirt and he is starting PP20. I also have money on devil may care PP11. She is supposed to be good in the mud and is starting in a better position. I also have $2 on all of the 50-1 horses just in case.

I love the penny slots!!!!! You don't win much but it is a great way to have a good time for not a whole lot of money.

Thanks for checking in!!!!!!!!!! It's a rainy dreary day here to.

Good morning everyone!!!!!!! I don't have much on the agenda for today. I need to do some laundry this morning and I am thinking about doing some baking. Then this afternoon I will be watching the coverge of the kentucky derby and the nascar race. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Saturday Morning to you! Hope this finds all doing great. I enjoyed hearing from Pinkini and Auntie, hope you guys come back today. I can't believe it's May....I can't believe it! Christmas in July will be here before we know it!

Going to be in and out today. See ya around!

About the race - O'Mallley the cat urged me to go with a couple of Irish sounding horse names so I'm looking close at Dublin, Paddy O'Prada and Ice Box. I agree it will be an interesting race. I usually look at the horse then the trainer or jockey before I make my picks.

I watch the three jewel races and a few others. I love the thunderous sound as the horses race hard around the track.

As the Grinch says, "giddy-up!" :tree:

Cheers Chrisitmas chums - enjoy the rest of the day! Keep a merry thought in your head - Christmas is on the way! :snowball:

Good Morning Friends!
Checkin' in...Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. cheesy
