Christmas Countdown - 2010

Well I am off to a slow start today. I had planned on getting up early and heading out to work but that didn't happen. So now I am trying to get myself moving. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone... had a very busy weekend. We got a section of our yard tilled yesterday for our veggie garden. Hoping to get the first batch of seeds/plants planted this weekned. We are doing a few batches, spreading out through out the month. This our first attempt at having a garden. Looking forward to working it all summer long. Also got some pumpkin seeds to plant later so we can have pumpkins for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

Well it looks to be a rainy day here today. Would not be as bad if it was not so muggy out.

I thought about planting some tomatoes this year, and maybe some squash. That'd be great!

Yup we are planting them too along with watermellon, carrots, cucumbers, corn, strawberries, sweet onions and radishes. May do some green peppers too.

We have boysenberry tree growing in the back of our yard along the fence line and it's got berries on it too. I had them up on line to make sure what type of tree it was.

You should plant them.. nothing like fresh veggies....

Hey Brad...hope you and your daughter are feeling better...that stomach bug is nasty! It made it's way through our house hold 3 times during the month of April....Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated!

Well, I was down all weekend with the stomach flu. I couldn't do anything till yesterday afternoon. Not good with a remodel going on around me. Now my daughter Elizabeth is home from school, not feeling well. I hope she doesn't have that.

I usually plant tomatoes and a couple different types of peppers. I like Minta's idea of Pumpkins and I might just have to try them this year.

It sounds good, but I'm afraid it's a bit too ambitious for me! I tend to kill most everything I plant. And I live near Vidalia, GA, so getting cheap sweet onions is no problem here. I love them, too!

Good evening, my dear friends. Hope this finds you great. Good day of work and Monday is gone for another week. I don't like that evil Monday. It (notice the gender-nuetral reference) comes and steals all my weekends. But it's gone again.....

It was a hot day here until it rained around 3pm, then the humidity started disappearing. Veered off the diet track a wee bit, had Chinese for dinner, but still no sugary treats! Just finished watching my Bruins beat the Flyers in game 2, its looking like something special may be starting to happen with this team. My little guy is going in tomorrow to see if he can have his cast removed, it will be a good thing for all of us since he has learned to use it as a weapon.
